According to Axios, citing a U.S. official, Israel sent an Iron Dome battery, manned by Israel Defense Force troops, to the United Arab Emirates to assist air defense efforts against Iran in the early days of the conflict. Per the report, the move came after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with the Emirati president on the phone and the battery subsequently intercepted “dozens of Iranian missiles.” This is the first time the system has been used outside of Israel and the United States.
