@extradeadjcb It doesn't work because all you have to say in response is, "It's the culture, not the race." Then decent middle-class folk are on board. I unironically DO believe it's the culture, because if you look at history whites used to behave like that. Blacks are just behind the curve.

This specific type of photography where they dial the sharpness all the way up and use purposely flat lighting to try and “humble” (ie make ugly) the subject is so boring and played out

I regret to inform you that the internet is real life now. For most people, it has been since at least the mid 2010s. For those digital natives, like young millennials and older Generation Z, it begins in the 2000s. An event barely feels real unless someone records it in a photograph, video, status update, or post. Activism carries little weight unless it is documented online, circulated, and shared. People check notifications while driving to work, despite the danger and illegality. On buses, trains, metros, planes, and ferries, they rarely read newspapers. They read news apps and social media feeds. Their faces are buried in their phones, just as their grandparents’ faces were once buried in newspapers. Internet cultures and subcultures now manifest in physical life. Communities formed on 4chan, Reddit, Tumblr, and other platforms shape politics, language, fashion, humour, identity, and social behaviour. Styles that had no previous existence outside the screen acquire followers online and then appear in the street. Reality increasingly resembles a simulacrum generated by digital culture, which then feeds back into the internet in a self reinforcing loop. You interpret images through decades of accumulated memes, references, and collective online experience. A photograph, reaction image, pose, caption, or visual style can carry meanings that depend on years of shared digital context. The internet and real life are no longer separate spheres. They have merged into a single social reality. Online personalities, alter egos, anonymous identities, and pseudonymous identities increasingly merge with the people behind them. The boundaries blur. Few people are simply inventing false personas, yet nearly everyone carefully controls how they appear. The result is a curated self that remains real while also being selective, strategic, and performative. The internet has also dissolved the limits of local competition. You now compete with someone across an ocean for the attention of a person in your own town. Employment works the same way. Workers who once competed within a city or region now compete within a global market. There is no longer a single public. There are many publics, each with its own authorities, narratives, values, and standards of evidence. These fragmented publics can destroy the legitimacy of traditional media and institutions, yet they struggle to build the shared consensus required to replace them. Communication itself has become overwhelmingly audiovisual. Images, clips, memes, livestreams, and short posts increasingly determine what people notice, believe, and remember. The medium has become inseparable from social reality because it now structures how reality is perceived, recorded, interpreted, and understood.

💥Mohamed Bekkali has been charged with criminal defamatory libel—after he unleashed a filthy tirade, calling a female Montreal police officer a fucking bitch dog and a salt whore. CTV News conveniently left out the migrant's abusive and degrading outlook towards women—well, because Canada needs more multiculturalism.

💥SHOCKING: Muslim migrant cries “racism” after female Montreal police officer pulled him over—then unleashes a filthy tirade, calling her a “fucking bitch dog” and a “salt whore.” Muslim values are not Canadian values.

I mean, I'm not even necessarily trying to get them to believe there is a full blown totalitarian conspiracy, even just getting them to see things outside of the television "everything is fine" Law and Order™️ paradigm is impossible. "Mafias are real actually and we live in a mafia world" I just want my people to actually start playing the game.

There really is no reaching your average normie. You could give them ten thousand examples of fraud, corruption, and tyranny and it would all be neutralized in their head by "thats illegal and there have been no convictions!" It's fundamentally a cowardice. For them to admit we live in an anarchotyrannical panopticon would mean a level of stress and anxiety from insecurity they couldn't handle. They couldn't function. The only remainder are the ones who actually think they're on the side of the tyrants. Who doesn't want a bully on their side? The pathetic thing is that they're just cattle to the tyrants. And like cattle all they need are their flashing lights and trough slop to be happy. Right up to marching them through the castration chute and finally to the slaughterhouse.

Amid discourse about having kids, one thing is being overlooked: WHEN should you have them? Well, the longer you wait, the older you'll be when they turn 18, a crucial point in their lives where they'll only be getting started. If you waited until 35 to have a kid, you'd be in your early 50s when they turn 18. Past a certain age, it's going to be hard for you to guide and support them in early adulthood. You don't want to be well into old age when your kid is turning 18, you want to be able to enjoy them and be present for them even in adulthood. It seems like it would be best to have your first child in your 20s and be done by the time you're in your early 30s, but Millennials who haven't had kids yet have mostly already missed this boat and, for early/middle Zoomers, the window is closing fast.

@xwanyex One of the few political arguments I got into with my wife was over CPS. It was before us having kids. She kept defaulting back to first order empathy (think of the children) in the face of second/third order effects. Took us having our own kids to change her mind.

There is big overlap between the people who think it’s an intolerable invasion of privacy to detect the sound of a gunshot in an urban area and those who think it’s perfectly reasonable and understandable that CPS should be allowed to take your kids while they do an open ended investigation of your home life. The reason for this is not mysterious. Nobody has any principles. It’s entirely who/whom.
