Did a bit of research into Heather Herbert, the Aberdeen University Web Developer under scrutiny for her horrific comments about Ann Widdecombe's death. This individual previously submitted a FOI request about Wes Streeting "wasting taxpayers money" on NHS Reforms. Take a look at the rather threatening language used towards @wesstreeting.

Never in my life; nor anyone I know or have ever known, has had any notion of the idea of making an effigy of a public figure and gleefully stabbing it with darts crossed our minds as remotely acceptable behaviour. Yet that’s exactly what happened at a trans rights protest outside Hackney Town Hall, where an effigy of Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham was repeatedly stabbed. And Green Party councillors were there, standing alongside it. This isn’t protest. It’s deranged incitement, especially in the current climate of political violence; after the murder of Ann Widdecombe and other attacks on politicians and their families.

@BarbaraRich_law This is exactly what makes me despair. They use their self-proclaimed goodness as a shield to justify pure malice. They've dehumanised people to the point where wishing an elderly woman a painful death feels virtuous to them. It's honestly terrifying to watch.

Three things about Ann Widdecombe. A lingering horror at the manner of her death. And a reminder that her views on social issues very largely lost ground to changes in law and policy over her political lifetime. And that unlike her killer she accepted that in a democratic society
