It was a delight to host family, colleagues and friends at my Karen residence for a farewell reception as I said KWAHERI to staff at the @Kmunep. My special appreciation to each one of you who made this occasion so special and truly memorable.
Special mention of the superb team that I have had the privilege of leading as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary/PR of the Republic of Kenya to the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). Together we have elevated the Kenyan flag in the United Nations community.
I thank my colleague Ambassadors of Uganda (H.E Eunice Kigenyi), France (H.E Arnaud Suquet), Azerbaijan (H.E Sultan Hajiyev) and the European Union Ambassador to Uganda (H.E Jan Sadek) for gracing us with their presence on Easter Monday. My Korean brother Rev. Yo Han Kim, my Chinese friends William Zhou and Mr. Zhang, my South Sudanese sister Nyawargak Bol Kir, the amazing young artists of the International Youth Fellowship IYF Kenya who lit up the occasion with their ever scintillating performance, and all other international friends, I appreciate you.
This reception was spiced by my family, both nucleus and extended, as well as special friends that I consider a part of my very essence. Ahsanteni sana!
My sister Ummi Bashir, CBS, Principal Secretary for Culture, The Arts and Heritage, and my brother Tanui K Joel Secretary Irrigation, you are more than just colleagues. Your presence was warmth personified.
Fr. George and Sr. Florence of Philothea Missionaries, you are my spiritual family to who am eternally indebted. Thank you for your ever presence in all situations. You blessed this occasion.
Now on to the next chapter of my incredible journey of service to our Motherland.

Beautiful capture, Manal! 🌅
This sunset is absolutely breathtaking, painting the sky in fiery oranges and golds, with those dramatic rays bursting through the clouds. You are so lucky to have such a view daily.

Stop guessing in maize farming.
Do the math first.
An acre carries about 20,000 maize plants.
Now break it down.
Grain sales
You grade your crop.
Take 10,000 cobs as top quality.
Sell each at KSh 20.
10,000 × 20 = KSh 200,000
Silage value
You do not waste the rest.
Use the remaining biomass for silage.
Estimated value = KSh 40,000
Total return per acre
KSh 200,000 + KSh 40,000 = KSh 240,000
This is where most farmers fail.
They focus on harvest.
They ignore timing.
Timing controls price.
Timing controls quality.
Timing controls who buys from you.
If you hit the market when supply is low, your KSh 20 per cob holds.
If you delay, the same cob can’t be sold .
