@GeriPerna Every big box store and every fast food restaurant. It’s ridiculous. These are multi million dollar profit businesses and they want to make the charitable donations using our money not theirs. Goodwill pisses me off the most.

Just left HomeGoods. Is it just me or does EVERY store ask for a donation at the end of the sale? This time it was: "Would you like to donate a dollar to help kids with cancer?" No "Well, would you like to round up to the nearest dollar, it's only 85 cents?" No I am tired of the guilt trip. This morning we rescued a tropical bird in the backyard. It was injured, we drove it to a bird sanctuary where they help rescued wildlife. Before leaving, we gave them a $20 donation. No one asked us for a dime.

Plot twist: My baby is due in December and my husband's ENTIRE family decided that means they're all flying to *my* house for Christmas. I had a table of two tonight for a full-service prime rib dinner.Their bill came to $86.36. They paid the check, but left the tip line completely blank.Before anyone brings up the 18% service charge, none of that goes to me. I am still paid a base wage of $2.13 an hour, which means tips are not extra income — they are what I rely on.What made it more frustrating was that nothing seemed wrong during the meal.They were polite, friendly, talkative, and appeared satisfied. They thanked me several times. I kept their drinks filled, timed everything properly, cleared plates when needed, stayed attentive, and provided the full service expected.Then the check came back with nothing.The hardest part is that it does not feel like one isolated table when it starts happening repeatedly. People enjoy being served and taken care of, but many do not seem to understand that the service is also how servers make their income.Having to explain that over and over again is what wears you down.

Love Popeyes chicken but I am am having a hard time understanding some practices they and other restaurants do today. I recently looked on line and seen they had a 9 piece family meal for $20.00 which included a side and four biscuits, which is a pretty good deal today. When I got to the drive up window menu board all that was offered close to that was an 8 piece meal for $28.99. I asked the worker and was informed that the $20.00 9 piece meal had to be ordered on the mobile app. So I had to pull out of line and order the 9 piece meal on my phone and then get back in line to get my order. My question is why is it necessary to order on the mobile app to get this deal and others like it. Same restaurant, same chicken, just makes no sense to me. Why do restaurants do this?

@annbauerwriter I know a few people diagnosed with this and went ahead with treatment that lasted a year. They don’t have cancer is my understanding but it could potentially turn cancerous. So basically they don’t have cancer but get chemo and radiation. Sounds like BS to me.

I've been in Minnesota for 5 days, preparing for my dad's funeral. In that time 3 women have told me they were diagnosed with "stage zero" breast cancer for which they are having the full array of treatments (surgery, chemo, radiation). I hear this nowhere else. Explain.
