Why can conservatives not wrap their hands around this basic thing? Section 2 isn't about ensuring that black people are elected, it's about ensuring that black voters can elect the candidate of their choice, regardless of the candidate's race. This really isn't hard.

What a sickening view of treating the Constitution like it means what it says. The Left sees SCOTUS as just another political tool to enforce their will. When they don’t get what they want because it is unlawful , they blame the bearers not their broken ideas.

I often say that the fight for democracy is the fight of our generation. But let me be clear, if you aren’t fighting for Black voting rights right now then you aren’t really fighting for democracy.
