@ARCRaidersNews Yeah tell that to the care bare population on forums and the discord, pvp in arc raiders is a shallow implementation. I played for 200hrs and was bored to tears of it, plus the discourse online surrounding kos was tiring and toxic, it might aswell go full pve.

ARC Raiders isn't gearing toward PvE.
It’s PvPvE, and it will be, they spent extra years adding PvP because pure PvE “wasn’t fun.” This is explained in their three-part documentary series.
But the narrative many streamers are pushing is really stupid. Did you base it on them removing PvP feats? Since when are feats so important?
IMO, Embark has gone into balance mode for PvP. They want to build a solid foundation. If they kept adding PvP gameplay items while some weapons and items are still too OP and some mechanics exploited, they would’ve destroyed their game.

@Comrade_Del I played tarkov for 2k hours, its more comparable to that games loop. The audio is peak, atomsphere is dark, the pvp is addicting 1v3 a team is chefs kiss, the build crafting is extremely good, maps are diverse with underground labrinths to them. Characters are ass though.

I'm seeing people defending Marathon and sure, if you enjoy this game, okay, good on you... but like... why is it good? What is so new about it?
I legitimately did not see a single person actually list a single reason why it's good. Not a single example of one. And doubly so for how it's new. Not a single person explained what is so new about it.
I've seen people doggedly defending it to the point it looks like they're getting to do it, trying to sell it to everyone that people just lie about it and that it's a good game that does new things... but not a single person actually lists any reasons why it's good or why anything about it is new.
So yeah. Why is it good and what is so new about it?
