Scotland has the best A&E waiting times in the UK, according to data compiled by NHS England. ⏰ Less than 5% of patients waited over 12 hours for treatment, compared to over 10% in England and 16% in Wales 🏥 Graphic by @LeftieStats

On national TV, the Prime Minister claimed to have 'resolved' the nursing pay dispute. This is untrue. We remain in a formal trade dispute and the government is late with its award for this year. A letter from @patcullen9 to PM @RishiSunak. 👇

‘Suspected’ data caveats aside, these figures are not unexpected and should be a wake up call to anyone using last years 21% drop as evidence we had turned a corner and the ‘public health emergency’ was over. Maintaining and enhancing the response is vital.

The situation in the UK is deeply concerning. Health is declining and health inequalities are widening. This is not the case with other European countries. The UK's rankings have gone down since 2014. What a tragic waste of lives @ucl @bmj_latest

A long, slow, creeping scandal: council funding has been reduced 40% over the last 14 years, while Westminster offloads more and more responsibilities ( like mental health and homelessness) onto councils, so it can claim it’s reduced its own spending. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Uni advice needed. I've applied for my masters, waiting to hear back. My work has a service level agreement, which can financially support me. But, no guarantee/very competitive. Does anyone have any advice on this? It's a drug and alcohol/ addiction masters if that helps 😅

I love the topic of stigma. Mostly because it's a point that always raises discussion and debate. This was such an interesting one.

Up next at #APAconf23 is Dr John Kelly of Harvard Medical School who will be sharing his insights into how stigma affects people living with addiction and what we can do to help reduce this.

My first revalidation was not as stressful as I expected it to be. Well, except for the £120 fees. Otherwise though - here's to another 3 years of nursing in the substance use sector 🎉🎊
