The first Canada match in Toronto is 4 weeks from Friday. I’m told at least 3500-4000 tickets are still unsold. Canada Soccer put tickets for all 3 Group matches in all 3 price categories on sale today. My friend sent me a screenshot after logging on to examine the prices. I get the once-in-lifetime value of this, I truly do - but there’s a been a clear combination of gouging, AND miscalculating the market. They’ve been unable to sell 45K tickets in Toronto/55K in VAN. Imagine if it was 70K+, like most of the NFL stadiums. The public will always set the price in the modern marketplace - not the other way around.

Deficits will get worse. As people and businesses leave, government revenues go down, and all the public unions want more in their next contracts. Death spiral. The next government will be despised for doing what needs to be done to get things under control. But if governments only worry about doing just enough and maintaining power for the next election, we’re all doomed.

The Bank of Canada is now reporting that the counter-tariffs implemented by the Liberals last year did impact both inflation and food inflation. This is exactly what our Lab had been saying for months, but few reporters wanted to hear it. Sad.

You can go back and look at every market crash, and I’m not talking about a 10% correction, I’m talking about a real 20%, 30% or 40% crash in the market and you will see in those moments everything gets sold. The baby is thrown out with the bathwater. That’s not correlation, that’s just fear. Gold is usually one of the first to recover. The Covid crash is the most recent example of this.

@garysavage1 The recent correlation with the overall market is concerning. If overall market finally craters we will crater with it. Then Fed prints and we bounce even stronger.

Recency bias was causing most analysts to predict another lower low. Consequently they either missed the entry, or they were short and are now losing money on steroids as silver explodes higher. The vast majority of intermediate corrections during the advancing phase of an 8 year cycle unfold as either an ABC scary pullback, or a multi week sideways churn. Almost no intermediate corrections in the advancing phase develop as an ABCDE type pullback. Yet this was what almost everyone was predicting. This is why I could say with a great deal of confidence that the bears were going to be wrong and metals would not drop below the March low. Now we just need these bears to remain stubbornly bearish and short. The longer they remain in denial the more fuel there is to keep pushing the rally higher. At some point they will capitulate and turn bullish. Then they will become convinced price can never go down due to whatever the narrative is at the time. Then we will repeat this process all over again. They will remain stubbornly bullish as the correction gets underway until they buy into the bearish narrative. We've literally watched this happen dozens and dozens of times over the years, but many if not most people are unable to learn and change their behavior. Above all else you must remember this one simple fact. This is a bull market and bull markets make higher highs. So always err on the side of being bullish. Buy dips and don't worry too much if you don't time your entry perfectly. The bull will rescue any long positions, no matter how badly timed.
