Ciao! Want to say goodbye in Italian? Super easy. Casual: Ciao! Yes, it means hello AND goodbye. Formal: Arrivederci. See you soon: A presto. See you later: Ci vediamo. -> Use ciao with friends. -> Arrivederci with strangers. -> A presto when you'll meet again soon. -> Ci vediamo when you know you'll see them later. Don't say goodbye to learning. ItalianChat keeps you speaking every day. Link in bio.

Italian Word of the Day 🇮🇹 💬 Escursione (es-koor-see-OH-neh) - Hike, excursion 📖 Ho fatto un'escursione sulle Dolomiti lo scorso weekend. 👉 I went on a hike in the Dolomites last weekend. 💡 May is a prime month for escursioni in Italy's mountain regions, as the spring weather creates ideal conditions for exploring trails. The Italian Alpine Club (Club Alpino Italiano), founded in 1863, maintains thousands of hiking trails and mountain huts throughout the country. Learn it here, then practice daily at ItalianChat (it's FREE to try for 3 days). Link in profile.

The brave Royal Ulster Constabulary RUC The RUC served with honour and distinction. They put on a uniform to protect the public while being shot and murdered by cowards in the PIRA Lest we forget the fallen of the RUC

A powerful new mural in Newtownabbey that speaks to remembrance, loss and identity. For many, this is about honouring those who came before them and reflecting on sacrifice. The imagery is emotional and thought provoking, showing how deeply history still lives within communities today. Moments like this can carry different meanings for different people. What matters is how we respond. With respect, with understanding and with a commitment to peace. We do not all have to see things the same way, but we can choose to listen, to learn and to move forward together without losing our humanity. At the heart of everything, remembrance should always bring us closer to compassion, not further from it. The police in Northern Ireland are now looking to take this mural down. They ought to remember the division that they can cause within a community when they allow a statue of Bobby Sands yet they now want to go and take a mural down that represents sacrifice. Surely everybody is allowed to respect their history on their past and find a way to learn from the past and move forward united as one.

@Maceroni2000 They have never condemned that the same Parachute regiment killed two innocent men on the Shankill Rd, we know where their allegiance lies

Imagine yesterday if Irish soldiers had been found to have murdered 5 people on the Shankill. The UUP, TUV and DUP would be in overdrive demanding this and that. This is what they think of their nationalist neighbours, nothing. This place needs to end.

These people are in North Shields where my stepdad is from. But people like them are in Lagan Valley and right across the UK. Proud people, who came from nothing, worked all their lives and have been cowed and beaten down by a system that has left them with nothing. This is not right. Left to survive on benefits due to ill-health because they've worked themselves to the bone and still got nothing to show for it. Proud business owners shutting up shop and dreams ending. This Government has exacerbated the cost of living crisis. How? Through repeatedly ignoring the damage their economic policies are doing. Bungs to the rich and powerful, poverty for everyone else. It is a dereliction of duty. Something has got to change. Kudos to @DanielHewittITV for this report.

The only giant in Dublin is the giant hole in taxpayers pockets. We have a cost have of living crisis. We have a housing crisis. I won't be supporting this at all tell this chap the main thing Irish people want done is the giant homeless and housing list to be cleared. So go home and watch land of giants mate.

The businessman behind a proposal for a 'giant' moving digital statue in Dublin’s docklands says it has the potential to become one of Ireland’s biggest attractions and is calling for the city council to support his project rte.ie/news/primetime…

A moment that speaks 1000 words. My granda Paddy Butler was WHOLLY INNOCENT. Justice Schofield said he was" the most maligned” victim by false claims that he was a gunman. He posed no threat to anyone He is a hero This is Justice for our family
