@Xtopher_Uzo The depth of it. It’s not just to “love Jesus”. But to love Jesus with all your heart, all your mind, all your strength! Give EVERYTHING to God everyday. This is what I love about His Church.

@jonathanplumb Pride is always the gravest sin Mormons exhibit, along with deceit because most of this isn't even true. Catholics are the single largest non government form of healthcare in the world, and it isn't even close. But you think this is about team sports, not truth. Low IQ nonsense

If we go by biblical knowledge, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is best. If by money management, LDS is also best. Charitable/Humanitarian aid? LDS is best. View of eternity? LDS is best. Purpose of life? LDS is best. Missionary program? LDS is best. Least blood on hands? LDS is best. Cosmology? LDS is best. Educational curricula? LDS is best. Consistent growth? LDS is best. Family structure? LDS is best. Baby rate? LDS is best. Self reliance? LDS is best. Health code? LDS is best. Youth programs? LDS is best. Genealogy/Family History? LDS is best. Personal revelation? LDS is best. The list could fill books. Add other things that Latter-day Saints are the best at in the comments.

Note: there is nothing contrary to Catholic teaching about ghosts existing & several possible explanations like souls in purgatory, if they exist. (I lean towards ghosts existing, but I am not "definitely yes" on ghosts.) Reincarnation, on the other hand, is contrary to Catholic teaching. @JimmyAkin3000 of @mys_world is more of an expert than I am.
Ryan Burge 📊@ryanburge

Catholics are 11 points more likely to believe in reincarnation than Protestants. And 9 points more likely to believe in ghosts. However, they are 6 points less likely to believe in miracles and 8 points less likely to believe in Hell.

@Brosephos @PastorAwes You just did say it. Are you daft. You saved you believe one has to be baptized to be saved. The thief on the cross was never baptized. So you believe he's in hell. It's pretty friggin simple.

Why am I a Baptist? Why not Catholicism or Orthodoxy? Because I believe the Bible. I don't care about church fathers, ecumenical councils, or creeds. I care about what the Bible says.

If you haven’t read the Book of a Mormon; you haven’t investigated it and you aren’t qualified to to voice an opinion on its veracity. You haven’t looked at the evidence. I’d you attempt to claim otherwise, you’re just lying to yourself

@ComeHometoRome Some of the Evangelicals deny Ignatius even existed and now a LDS thinks a disciple of St. John the Apostle bears rotten fruit because he was martyred for Christ. What was Ignatius to do? Unload a pepper box shooter on his captors? Ignorant.

Saint sacrifices his life to be eaten be lions for the sake of Christ, a martyrdom modern Christians can't begin to comprehend. Mormonism: "he had an ego. Nobody should listen to him" ye shall know them by their fruits.
Mormon's Stories (A Man. Prophet. Legend)@storiesOfMormon

@ComeHometoRome @Bearistotle1337 Studied it all. (Especially the Bible in multiple languages) And don't get me started with Ignatius of Antioch's ego. Nobody should listen to him, ever. All of it is border line insanity layered in nuanced word salad

I prayed about the Trinity and received multiple answers about its truthfulness. I prayed about the Book of Mormon (as a devout Mormon) and never received anything but confusion and darkness

@tbruce15 @DrWumbology I’m not calling you demons for the record! Your view is JS’s view and it departs from orthodox Christianity in a big way. You can argue that you are the orthodox way and it’s me who has departed, but objectively I don’t see that at all. Thanks for your respectful reply. 2/2

@tbruce15 @DrWumbology Matt Fradd just expressed the frustration one has trying to get a concrete answer related to LDS teachings. As for Jesus, I also believe He died, was buried, and rose again on the third day. But, as St. James says, “even the demons believe”. The devil is in the details. 1/2

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ my whole life. Not a great member, but I attend and serve. Born in the covenant. I am a millennial raised with all Gen-X siblings well away from any Mormon Culture hot spots. My Stake is roughly the size of many mid sized states. I went to multiple EFY’s, Treks, Youth conferences. I Attended a semester of BYU-I prior to my mission. I was married in the temple, served in many heavy callings, ie bishop, Stake, etc… none of this really matters though cause a testimony is personal and requires the act of exerting fairy to keep the fire burning. As a nearly boomer, I am still learning and relearning aspects of church history that were different than I expected as a youth. None of it has changed my opinion of Joseph Smith. I love the man. But if I learned something tomorrow that made me question his choices, it wouldn’t matter one iota towards my testimony of Jesus Christ. My Sunday lessons, my seminary lessons, my scripture and my prayers, were all centred on Jesus Christ and His role as my Saviour and Redeemer. This knowledge has been revealed in the last days thru Joseph Smith and subsequent Prophets and for that I am forever grateful. Whether you feel cheated by not having the full story in some aspect of Joseph Smith, Church Restoration, Church Finances or Legal Proceedings involving the church or lack thereof, I encourage you to refocus your testimony on Jesus Christ and then put in the work that Faith requires. No, hold on, I dare you to put in the work, and see if anything if too difficult for Jesus Christ. Your life will change. While you are at it, maybe give some grace to people who made knowledge of this miracles available to us. Or don’t do any of that… but please stop making your deconstruction about anything other than your desire to distance yourself from the church of a Jesus Christ because you stopped doing the things and stopped focusing on your relationship with Jesus Christ.

@tbruce15 @DrWumbology I would respectfully disagree with a JS version fitting into scripture, old or new. Or that this version fits into the Early Church Fathers. Now this maybe a misunderstanding of that version, but as Matt Fradd said, LDS theology is like trying to nail Jello to the wall.

It’s bizarre when JS version of Jesus Christ fits neatly with the God of the Old Testament, and Jesus Christ of the New. It aligns with Apocryphal writings that JS wouldn’t have had. The more I learn, the more it testifies of JS and his version of Jesus Christ as being the actual version of Jesus Christ, not the one AntiMo’s and ExMo’s have twisted Him into, but the one in Jesus the prophets have testified of in the Living Christ. churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptur…

@nbeutler1201 @jacelala That’s not what Christ’s Church teaches. Reference CCC 847-848, 1022, and 1037. Only God can judge a person’s soul. As for the spirit blob…..what are you talking about?

@jacelala so, you believe the rest of your family is going to hell? Because if you're Catholic, that's what you believe. And even though they believe in the resurrection you will be a spirit blob who does nothing but praise god for eternity. No family relationships just a floating blob.

@jonathanplumb @jacelala Plumb’s subjective experience is apparently true and yours is not. He’s such a joke. He doesn’t want us to look at the BoM objectively, but then he denies your subjective opinion. “Trust me, bro! I’m right!” He should delete his account!
