Kansas City Chiefs OC Eric Bienemy - Guide To Organizing Your Plan For Success - Scheme evaluations - Off Season Program - Phase I, II & III - Each position coach focus on 3 - 5 areas his position group needs to improve upon. - Place high emphasis on coaching the fundamentals & detailing the technique. - Reestablish and build the foundation of who are and what we are Building The Passing Game - When building your passing game, keep the QB in mind. - Think about what he likes, challenge him but keep it fresh. - Experiment with new Pass Concepts as well. - Off - Season / OTA's: Routes on Air Period - Routes for WR's, TE's, & RB's. - Purpose: to develop timing, to expose all route runners to all pass concepts but also to expose all skill position players to many different routes. - Always "Turn Back the Clock" when constructing a plan & re-teach the offense like it has never been installed before. - Purpose: Helps players to retain coaching points & digest the details. Building your Pass Concept Plan - 3 Step (Quick Game), 5 - Step & 7 - Step Throws Play Action, Naked, Movements & - Screens - 2 Minute Situations - Keep personnel in mind when building Pass Game (Complimentary Players / New Free Agents / Draft Picks). - Build from most commonly used route concepts, formations & challenge players to expand on their roles within the concept. - Reminder: Players & Coaches must be Flexible, must accept the daily challenges presented & we must improve on all the details that help us to be a more productive group moving forward.
