To be clear, the president’s views are those of a white supremacist and his own administration members say so. This should be the second-biggest domestic scandal in American politics (the first being Trump’s documented ties to a notorious child sex offender and trafficker).

This is truly insane, and it should be front page news across America.  Denmark secretly deployed soldiers to Greenland prepared to blow up airport runways to stop a U.S. invasion. They brought blood supplies to treat the wounded. France, Germany, Norway, and Sweden quietly coordinated against us. This was not a drill. This was our closest allies preparing to fight Americans. Let that sink in. NATO allies. Countries whose soldiers have fought and died alongside ours for decades. They looked at this president and decided they had to prepare for the worst. Fewer allies does not make America great. It makes us more isolated, more vulnerable, and it hands Russia and China exactly what they have always wanted: an America abandoned by its friends. The American people deserve to know how badly this president has damaged our standing in the world.  bbc.com/news/articles/…

OpenAI just exited the video generation business entirely. App dead. API dead. No video inside ChatGPT. Disney’s $1 billion deal, signed four months ago, is dead. Read that again. This isn’t a consolidation into the super app. Altman told staff Tuesday that OpenAI is winding down all products using video models. Disney’s own statement says they respect OpenAI’s decision to “exit the video generation business.” The Sora research team is being redirected to robotics. The reason is sitting right there in the competitive data. Anthropic hit $19 billion in annualized revenue by early 2026 selling text and code. No video generation. No image generation. No consumer social app. No Disney deal. One product surface: chat, code, computer use, all in one place. OpenAI looked at where every dollar of market growth was coming from and saw the answer: coding and enterprise. So now they’re copying the model. ChatGPT, Codex, and the browser merge into one app. Instant Checkout killed today too. Every consumer experiment is getting cut. What remains is the Anthropic playbook: one app, code and chat, enterprise and developer focus. The Sora numbers explain the urgency. Total consumer revenue across iOS and Android since September: $1.4 million. Peak month was $540,000. Every video generation burned GPU compute that could have been running inference for ChatGPT or Codex instead. OpenAI’s own head of Sora announced generation limits because chips couldn’t keep up. At $14 billion in projected 2026 losses, every GPU matters. Google just inherited the AI video market by default. Nano Banana already lives inside Gemini. No standalone app to manage, no separate brand to support. Among the majors, they’re the only ones left. Runway, Kling, Minimax, Luma, and the other independents are still shipping, but none of them have Google’s distribution. Disney put $1 billion in stock warrants on a product that lasted six months. The deal was announced in December. Characters from Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars were supposed to be generating fan videos on Sora by now. Instead, Disney is writing a polite press statement about “respecting OpenAI’s decision” while its legal team unwinds a deal that never produced a single licensed video. Four months from billion-dollar partnership to obituary. That’s how fast the AI product landscape reprices when the unit economics don’t work.

There is only an existential crisis in SEO if you're not fully agentic. Trust me. Once you're agentic, the firehose of new stuff every day is no longer overwhelming. I'll demonstrate myself next week.
Testing Stuff 🦄📈✨@SeoTudent

The most interesting read of the week was @Hobo_Web's article on his agentic SEO solution. hobo-web.co.uk/codename-agenc… So the SEO existential crisis didn't pop in form nowhere. It's a combo of things I've been seeing the past 2-3 weeks and this one is definitely takes the cake.

🚨BREAKING: MIT hooked people up to brain scanners while they used ChatGPT. What they found should concern every single person reading this. ChatGPT users showed 55% weaker brain connectivity than people who didn't use it. Not after years. After just four months. Here's how they tested it. 54 people were split into three groups: one used ChatGPT to write essays, one used Google, and one used nothing but their own brain. They wore EEG monitors that tracked their brain activity in real time across four sessions over four months. The brain-only group built the strongest, most widespread neural networks. Google users were in the middle. ChatGPT users had the weakest brains in the room. Every time. Then the memory test hit. Participants were asked to recall what they'd just written minutes earlier. 83% of ChatGPT users couldn't quote a single line from their own essay. They wrote it. They couldn't remember it. The words passed through them like they were never there. It gets worse. In the final session, ChatGPT users were told to write without AI. Their brains were measurably weaker than people who never used AI at all. 78% still couldn't recall their own writing. The damage didn't go away when the tool was removed. Meanwhile, brain-only users who tried ChatGPT for the first time? Their brains lit up. They wrote better prompts. They retained more. Their brains were already strong enough to use AI as a tool instead of a crutch. The researchers also found that every ChatGPT essay on the same topic looked almost identical. More facts, more dates, more names. But less original thinking. Everyone using ChatGPT produced the same generic output while believing it was their own. MIT gave this a name: cognitive debt. Like financial debt, you borrow convenience now and pay with your thinking ability later. Except there's no way to pay it back. The question isn't whether ChatGPT is useful. It's whether the price is your ability to think without it.

It appears that a Polymarket account called "Magamyman" made $515,000 in a single day betting on last night's U.S. strike on Iran, with the first trade placed 71 minutes before the news broke publicly. When this person bought in, the market had this at a 17% probability. They turned roughly $87,000 into over half a million dollars overnight. Reminder that Donald Trump Jr. sits on Polymarket's advisory board and his firm invested double-digit millions into the platform last year. The DOJ and CFTC both had active investigations into Polymarket that were dropped after Trump took office. Prediction markets cannot be a vehicle for profiting off advance knowledge of military action. We need answers, transparency, and oversight.

Everyone’s saying OpenAI got the “same deal” Anthropic was banned for. Read the fine print. They’re not the same: On weapons: Anthropic asked for “no fully autonomous weapons without human oversight” = a human involved in the decision. OpenAI’s deal says “human responsibility for the use of force” = someone accountable, which can happen after the fact. Oversight ≠ Responsibility. One requires a human before the trigger. The other requires a name on the paperwork after. On surveillance: Dario said explicitly: current law hasn’t caught up with AI. The government can already buy your movement data, browsing history, etc without a warrant. AI can assemble that into a complete picture of your life, at scale. That’s mass surveillance without breaking a single law. Anthropic wanted protections beyond current law. OpenAI’s deal says the Pentagon “reflects them in law and policy.” That’s existing law as the safeguard, the exact law Anthropic said is insufficient. Same words. Different agreements. Read them carefully

Trump’s billionaire allies will now own CNN, Fox News, CBS, WaPo, WSJ and NY Post — plus 185+ local tv stations and news in 100 markets. They also control X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, TikTok, Truth and Twitch. They control the AI you're integrating into your lives, the algorithms feeding you content, and your personal data you've given up for access. This is all by design to manipulate and surveil us, and we’re not talking enough about it. Pay attention.
