Monte is spot on here. We’ve had some great deep dives into hitting over the years, and his “Hunt and Shrink” philosophy is a mindset every hitter can benefit from.
Great guy. Great coach. @CoachMonteLee

@TheWrigleyWire @sahadevsharma Bit worried about the Mark Prior esque elbow flex

Cade Horton is already sitting 96 and touching 98 this spring, per @sahadevsharma.
He averaged 95.7 mph on the fastball last year during a 2.67 ERA, NL ROY runner-up campaign.

Great job by many of you flagging this.
Here are FOUR different times this offseason where #WhiteSox GM Chris Getz has referred to Luisangel Acuña as a switch hitter.
Acuña is, in fact, NOT a switch hitter.
Not great. Four times isn’t a misspeak.

@Chicago_NFL Except…. The last throw of the game. Yes DJ was at fault. But he had the flats and could’ve walked it down the field. Know when to be a gun slinger and know when to be the steady sheriff.

Not only does Caleb Williams throw interceptions at the lowest rate of any QB, his interceptions are the least detrimental to his team ever charted. He is a unicorn in that area. Kind of a cool article here! #DaBears barstoolsports.com/blog/3561728/i…

BREAKING: Reigning NCAA champion Michael La Sasso is joining Phil Mickelson's LIV Golf team, HyFlyers GC, ahead of LIV's season opener next month. La Sasso, a senior at Ole Miss, will, in turn, forfeit his remaining college eligibility and his Masters exemption this April. Big decision: golfchannel.com/ncaa/news/ncaa…

Here’s my question on this play:
We have all these rules for what constitutes a catch: Must make a football move, must survive the ground, must take a third step, etc.
In this instance, if the Denver defender didn’t come up with the ball and it ended up the ground instead, it would have pretty clearly been ruled incomplete, not a fumble.
Right?

My thoughts on the overtime ruling of interception in #BUFvsDEN. What do you think?

@EricCrossMLB Um no. Hoerner will be up top 5. Same with Ballesteros

Sticking around the Tar Heel State, here’s another North Carolina gem:
Roaring Gap Club is among the region’s most beautiful and most fun places for a game.
If you give Donald Ross a gorgeous mountain canvas along with time to work and incentive to produce, all of which he had here, you’ve got a recipe for success, and Ross cooked up a masterpiece here.

@wyattB2024 As we should. It’s not a bad thought- restock the farm an avoid a limping to playoffs squad, so long as you come into ‘27 guns blazing. Problem is, Ricketts ownership group seems to believe bringing knives to a gun fight is a solid plan

I’m two weeks away, the time of Cubs Con, from saying 2026 is a reset year for the Cubs.
Not there yet, but this offseason and the looming lockout are the writing on the wall.
Long story short, a lot of money is coming off the books in 27, and there is much uncertainty to what the roster looks like beyond this year.
Perhaps the Cubs reset this year and start fresh in 2027 and beyond.

@realcubsinsider Question: why is the third richest team in the league on a Limited Budget, especially ahead of a renegotiated contract next year? Ricketts sucks
