@JacobsFieldRBW Investments are for the long term, not 1 year. Not that I don't hate Trump. Happily if you invested when his tariffs killed the markets, you're doing okay. Even if we're back in buy territory.

One year ago today, I finally started a retirement account, and invested it in the S&P 500.
Thanks to President Trump, I have made 1.9% returns—less than the rate of inflation since then, and about half of what I would have made if I’d kept it in my savings account.

“Baseball is a business” okay well since Paul Dolan took over the then-Indians franchise no other team’s valuation has increased by a lower multiplier than Cleveland’s and all but two other franchise owners have increased their valuations by at least *twice* as much as he has.

Difference in subject being that the grid couldn't destroy the world, and the series wasn't about saving Earth from destruction. The threat was sudden, localized, and contextualized over time within a larger story.
