Aurum Belle keeps her perfect record intact, charging home to claim the $200,000 Group 3 Swan Draught–Gimcrack Stakes. 🐎✨ The Karrakatta Plate is shaping up as a cracking contest in a fortnight. Congratulations to Neville Parnham, Brad Parnham and connections on the win. 👏 📸 @WesternRacepix

@davepband Only two of them would start <$1.5 in a Group1 - KYR & RW, both trained overseas Mares only 33% of the 4yo & up racing stock They're getting 2kg so they beat the male identical rating Jeez if Rothfire ever rated as high as Sheeza then some corrections required 😀

Definitely not my area of specialty, although I do hear people point to this and the banning of steroids as reasons for mares' dominance in the last 2-3 decades. But there have been plenty of male horses with ratings as good as where I have these 2 girls. Dubai Honour, Without a Fight, Classique Legend, Nature Strip, Rothfire, Ka Ying Rising, Castelvecchio, Yes Yes Yes, Bivouac all had identical or higher ratings at Weight For Age in Australia for me. Giga Kick, I Wish I Win, Gold Trip, Exceedance, West Wind Blows, Romantic Warrior, Mr Brightside all recorded ratings within a length of what those 2 girls have done at their last start. No doubt both girls are on their way up, but they're perhaps not quite poster children for the Regumate debate just yet.

Sheza Alibi in the Doncaster 110.8 at the 49kg she carried. As far as time figures go, this is right in Winx' upper bracket. 106.6 at Weight For Age. I had Autumn Glow going to 106.7 at WFA in the George Ryder. Makes for a fascinating thought heading into the Queen Elizabeth as there's nothing between them. #FormKing

@DisaffectedPod Did all this for our dog (Ruby), the next morning my wife went down to her grave in the backyard and it had been dug up - the wife in shock thought we had buried her alive! Turns out a fox had tried to dig her up (didn't get to her), we're 2kms's from the CBD of a City of 2M

Please, I urge you to follow this protocol if you can when your pet needs euthanasia. It's what I've done for 20 years. 1. Call a house-call vet. Hold kitty/doggy when they're put to sleep. This is your moral duty. You must not ever leave them in a sterile room without you at the vet. 2. Put the body out on a blanket so that the other animals understand where their friend went. They know what death is-if you *let them*. Don't make them think he abandoned them and ran away. 3. Wrap the body in a sheet from home, and dig the grave yourself if you have a yard. Bury your own dead. -J

His honesty can ne er be questioned. Magnatear tries so hard and today he won the Muswellbrook Cup. Congrats to his owners, our team, and Magnatear. You made Sam proud.

@Racing_Previews It's actually the complete opposite of woke, it's RacingNSW showing participants who's the boss. Especially participants that didn't agree with its agenda.

@Globalgallop Another Waller mare getting cumulative low doses of steroids via Regumate (Altrenogest) and a 2 kg pull in the weights. It’s a blight on Racing in this country - the Mares have dominated for twenty years.

Autumn Glow just impressive again and evolving into such a superstar. Tactically versatile, possessing wonderful acceleration, handles all ground and wins with great determination. Australian racing blessed with another truly wonderful mare.

@betangelking @champingyon From memory was only a length between them before the corner, could have followed her through but went via the cape and was given her twenty lengths after they straightened - still hurts.

@Grega9430 @champingyon The first issue with the ride was how negative it was. The amount of ground it pulled off her in the last 200 is mental. Was genuinely 10L behind her.

Insert yourself in a story. I was at Randwick races Melb Cup day when the Diva won her 3rd in a row. I talked my mate into backing something else. I reckon there was 10,000 people at Randwick that day. I swear myself and my mate were the only ones there that didn't back her. #RIP

@champingyon backed On A Jeune. Slaughtered by Gauci, honestly should’ve probably won and it simply doesn’t get talked about enough.

Joe Pride on Ceolwulf on Sky Sports Radio: "It was a very small amount of blood in both nostrils. We had him scoped... the blood had come from higher up in his sinuses. He's pulled up absolutely fine this morning." Still on track for the G1 Aust Cup and G1 Queen Elizabeth.

@LFCStevoLFC @MarkWalsh You're not looking at a "photo" of a single point in time, you're looking at a compilation of narrow images as they pass the line over time. Legs moving so fast get distorted depending where they are at the finish line.

Ninja protest Subjective analysts paid by pros score wides, bumps, checks, blocks, lane-veering (own fault, or not) etc Complex algorithms quantify beyond raw data arrive at cost I’d say 1. bump cost ~0.5l 2. veering 3 lanes, not own fault, cost <0.2l Pre-race I quoted 70% likely dismissed
