It used to be Sekuru vangu Chamisa mainly, now suddenly the Bible has come under siege from a host of politicians plundering it for divinely-coated secular messages. The Bible is about salvation; preach Jesus only from it. Whatever else one purports to find from it, is one's contrivance. No matter how much your mortal ambitions sound sacred, they are not related to the Biblical objective of salvation.

The promotion of Lt. Colonel Sean Mnangagwa from Major to Lt. Colonel today marks a befitting promotion following distinguished military service which he started under President RG Mugabe and continued under his father President ED Mnangagwa. This is meritocracy in action. Congratulations Lt. Colonel Sean Mnangagwa.

In the military, you don't receive a promotion without discipline and loyalty to the nation. The Commander of ZNA, Lt. Gen. Tapfumaneyi, has confirmed the promotion of military officers to the rank of Lt. Colonel through the approval of Commander Defense Forces Gen. Matatu and Commander-in-Chief of Zimbabwe Defense Forces President E.D. Mnangagwa @edmnangagwa. One of the officers promoted is Lt. Colonel S. Mnangagwa. The man served well under the then Commander-in-Chief, Cde President R.G. Mugabe, and he received a promotion. Well deserved. Congratulations, Shumba Lt. Colonel S. Mnangagwa.

Good evening Uncle Temba. I hope you had a good day. It appears you’ve been quite busy 😅. Uncle, your remarks are noted, though they are clearly premised on misrepresentation, selective interpretation and a regrettable disregard for the facts. As an appointee of His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of ZANU PF, I operate strictly within the confines and boundaries of that appointment, guided by duty, discipline and respect for established structures. My role, and indeed that of the Youth League, is not to engage in reactionary theatrics or social media grandstanding, but to contribute meaningfully to national development and the realisation of Vision 2030. Uncle Temba, it is unfortunate that in an apparent pursuit of relevance and social media traction, you have chosen to personalise issues and cast aspersions where none are warranted. In doing so, you do not diminish the work being done, you merely expose a lack of depth and a limited appreciation of the evolving nature of leadership and governance in the Second Republic. Comparisons to past political eras are misplaced. The politics of yesterday cannot be imposed on the present. His Excellency has consistently called for unity, productivity and responsible leadership that builds rather than divides. The Youth League has taken this directive seriously, focusing on empowerment, skills development and addressing real challenges affecting young people, rather than engaging in noise that yields no progress. Leadership is not measured by how loudly one speaks or how quickly one reacts, but by the impact of their work and the stability they help preserve. The expectation that leadership must be performative in order to be effective is outdated and misguided. It is also important to emphasise that discipline within the party remains paramount. Matters of concern are addressed through proper channels, not through public outbursts that risk undermining cohesion and collective progress. Those who genuinely respect the One Centre of Power understand this principle and act accordingly. My dear Uncle, I would therefore encourage you to engage with issues in a constructive and informed manner, in line with the values and direction set by His Excellency. Zimbabwe demands seriousness, focus and unity of purpose. Those who choose noise over substance must be prepared for their words to be weighed against their contribution. Leadership is demonstrated through work, discipline and results, not commentary. The nation is moving forward, and it will not be distracted by those who mistake provocation for purpose. Whichever way you may regard yourself in relation to me, whether as an elder or otherwise, I do not have the inclination to engage in personal exchanges with you or those behind this. I was raised to respect my elders and I intend to uphold that value with dignity.

Time has cemented Chipanga's renowned apolo-jersey moment as a testament to unwavering loyalty, exemplifying the qualities one seeks in a leader. Loyalty all the way. In contrast, President ED is surrounded by many individuals hovering for opportunities and yet lack the courage to defend him. Minister Machakaire leading the Youth League, has allowed it to transform into a passive and ineffectual participant in party affairs. Yet, the Youth and Women's Leagues, ought to serve as the party’s vanguard. Today they have become mere numerals within the complex hierarchy of ZANU PF power dynamics. Machakaire and the Youth should have led the line defending when ED was being attacked yet they never did. When VP Chiwenga openly threatened the stability of the party Machakaire utterly failed to mobilise a solidarity stand with the One Centre of Power betraying his compromised state. His days should be numbered, taneta nevanhu vanoda kudya chete. They never made a statement when the VP clearly went against a clear party resolution on 2030. That was an act that brought the party into disrepute. Instead, all Machakaire does is talk about how he made his money nekupfeka masuit. Even if the VP is his brother, as he tells people, he is also Sekuru vangu but when one goes the wrong way, we still tell them the truth kuti apa Sekuru marasika. We do our part kuita zvigrader zvekutaura chokwadi kuti musha una Baba one. It had to take the likes of Cde Lovemore Matuke and Oppah Muchinguru to stand up against the path which the VP had taken. Now some of us are accused of being paid to say things but it's false, we just respect the One Centre of Power in the party. Imi makanyarara ndimi mukurikutodya mari yacho! We are tired of people who sit on the fence waiting to jump on the winning side. Leadership isn't about suits and flying in a helicopter. What are you teaching youths by flying around in a helicopter failing to link and relate with them? Leadership is about action on the ground, making a difference within your area of control. Come down to the youths, interact with them, get to understand their challenges and offer solutions. As it is drugs are ravaging them and there isn't much being done. In terms of employment creation he has failed. Some who had land they lost it to corrupt cabals. In all these he has failed to come up with any substantial initiative. Kana pane zvatiri kunamatira mumusangano kuti vamwe ngavabude pazvigaro. Ngazvichinjwe, mawanda mbwende!

A 5 year term is a tenure that ends precisely when the most difficult and necessary work begins to take root. The first two years are consumed by the transition of power and the settling of a new administration. The next two years are spent implementing policies that have an inherent lag time measured in economic cycles and infrastructure timelines. By year 5, the results of those early decisions are only just beginning to surface as tangible data and not as finished outcomes.

One thing that I totally totally converge with ZANU PF and I am unapologetic about it. Let thee who lost the Zim dollar restore thee. People who understand economics in its practical terms know that Zimbabwe deserves its currency. Anyone who think otherwise is not worthy to listen to. It is a long road that started with the bond note and any other phase that has come before ZiG is part of the process.
