started this post with "sweden also has one of if not the broadest definition of rape in the world, and is continually expanding it" but man this is really bleak...

@NegroCurseado @vxunderground If other games work without issue, and Vanguard crashes the system. The issue isn't the other games working perfectly fine, it is Vanguard. Riot's trying to go after such a tiny % of cheaters, they're causing a vast % of regular users nothing but grief.

@Grice_D @vxunderground The reason why helldivers works and lol doesn’t has something to do in how the anticheat and OS coexist, if the OS internally presents errors, VANGUARD can’t verify the integrity and in turn crashes. It happens for a reason, my pc handles it fine and it isn’t that great.

@Rayu25Demon @vxunderground 100% valid concern. Riot, trying to take out the 0.0000~1% of cheaters, in the process causes the 99.9999~9% of regular users nothing but grief.

@NegroCurseado @vxunderground The only 'sketchy' thing in this whole equation is Vanguard. We play Helldivers2 together and they have 0 crashes. Try to play LoL with Vanguard, and BSOD continually. It is 💩 development by a 💩 company that just scoffs at valid user complaints.

@Grice_D @vxunderground I bet $50 it’s probably a faulty or sketchy RAM/SSD Most of vanguard errors that can’t be corrected come from issues within the OS, that although you can use your pc normally affects stability in the long run.

@MartyTheElder At this point, I'll probably never own a home and will live in a perpetual state of renting. According to some analysts, there is ~supposedly~ a wealth reformation coming, once the Baby Boomers die out (that sounds bad to type 😅). But who knows if/when that'll happen.

Right now, the median age of a new home buyer is 40-years-old and getting higher. That is unacceptable. You can't have the American Dream without the fruits of home ownership. When I'm elected, I will work to cut the regulations that stymy home builders, ban large corporations from buying single family homes, and continue deporting the millions of illegals taking homes that should go to Americans.

@NegroCurseado @vxunderground I'd highly recommend looking up the amount of user complaints against Riot's Vanguard. It is not a statistical outlier but well within the normalized distribution.

@Grice_D @vxunderground Very likely that their hardware is faulty if this is true. I have a friend that IN THEORY can run lol but his hardware is so dated and fucked it straight up refuses to get into games. Any modern 2020+ pc should be able to run it almost flawlessly

@Grice_D yeah, the color is just a gradient, and there are a bunch of different gradients in a 512x512 texture. each ASCII cell can have a different gradient index set, so the whole thing can use different gradients, or individual items in the list.

@niccruzpatane I wonder how far off asteroid mining is, in the grand scheme of things? Seems as though, if we can mine in space rocks, will be beneficial for us to preserve more of Earth's resources and permit inter-galactic travel ☺️

Awesome, SpaceX has begun exploring using Starlink to enable high-bandwidth around the Moon! Traditionally, deep space coms has relied on radio frequencies. This will enable gigabit connectivity anywhere on the Lunar Surface. Imagine watching livestreams. It’s gonna happen.

Of all the cells in the human body, my absolute favorite to learn about was the Amoeba. • Has a pseudopod (false foot) • Uses phagocytosis for eating prey (engulfs) • Lack cell walls (nonconforming lil buggars) The major downside, is they are super harmful to humans. 😔

A 12-year-old girl went swimming on a summer afternoon. By the time her parents got her to hospital, doctors were telling them she had a one percent chance of surviving the night. In July 2013, Kali Hardig contracted Naegleria fowleri, a brain-eating amoeba, while swimming at Willow Springs Water Park near Little Rock, Arkansas. The amoeba entered through her nose, travelled up her olfactory nerve, reached her brain, and began consuming nerve cells. She developed a pounding headache. Then her eyes began rolling back in her head. Doctors told her family she had a 99 percent chance of dying. Of 128 known cases in the previous half century, only two patients had ever survived. Her mother was simultaneously battling her sixth recurrence of breast cancer. Her father had just returned from serving in Kuwait. Doctors called the CDC, who had an experimental drug called miltefosine on hand from Germany. It had not been created to treat this infection. The CDC shipped it immediately and the shipment was lost. It was eventually recovered and administered directly into Kali's brain through a surgically implanted port. She was placed on a ventilator in intensive care for weeks, unresponsive and unable to breathe without assistance. Then, slowly, she began to turn. A few days after treatment began, tests showed no signs of the amoeba remaining in her system. After intensive cognitive and physical therapy, she recovered and went home. Within a year she was back in a swimming pool. Ten years later, Kali spoke publicly about the experience: "A d*ath sentence is what they called it, as soon as they saw those little amoebas in my fluid." She has since used her survival to advocate for water safety awareness. She is one of only a handful of people in recorded history to survive this infection.

Game: Valorant AC: Vanguard (VGK) Today’s Vanguard anti-cheat update blocked the majority of DMA firmwares using SATA/NVMe. VGK suddenly triggered an IOMMU restart warning in-game, after which the DMA firmware becomes completely unusable, even without the game running or after uninstalling Vanguard. Only fix is a full OS reinstall. It’s using IOMMU to create read blocks, which permanently breaks the majority of almost all SATA/NVMe firmwares once triggered. Even the advanced H2-board got affected. Confirmed Firmware Block wave by @ItsGamerDoc

The difference is night and day. The digital night vision of the EagleEye Family of Systems delivers an 84 degree field of view, stereo thermal fusion to expose hidden threats, and a 4K display for enhanced warfighter perception. Double the industry standard. Pictured: EagleEye (left) and standard PVS-31 (right).

Look what is happening in Norwegian schools! Teachers are asking Norwegian girls in schools to wear more clothes so as not to tempt Muslim students to make sexual remarks. The girls are 13 years old. The message from the school to the children and parents is as follows: “Hello parents/guardians of 8th and 9th grade students – Today, several girls have been asked to put on a sweater and not walk around the school wearing only a tank top. They are perceived as being ‘provocatively dressed’ with only a tank top on the upper body. With regard to ethics, and the fact that we adults should help them avoid experiencing sexually offensive/encouraging comments, we would like to have you parents on our ‘team’ in this matter. A short-sleeved T-shirt is acceptable during classes/lessons. The school is a public place, and this entails a certain ‘dress code’. This message has only been sent to the girls in 8th and 9th grade.” The girls are not allowed to dress like they want at school anymore.
