I am a Democrat. I served in the Clinton administration. I did not vote for Donald Trump and am highly unlikely to support him or his acolytes in the future. I also have serious disagreements with many of the Trump administration’s domestic and foreign policies.
But it is profoundly disturbing that a growing segment of the far left appears to be almost rooting for Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian regime, and other forces fundamentally opposed to the United States and our allies. This seems to reflects a corrosive strain of anti-Americanism, dressed up in postcolonial theory, that risks blinding us to the moral realities of our world and the nature of our adversaries.

Hopefully this is a wake-up call for USA Baseball. That was the best lineup they could’ve possibly fielded and they failed. We lost at our own sport. Venezuela was outstanding. You can’t have a rent-a-manager and Aaron Judge as your captain if you truly want to win.

Seth's absolutely right. The mainstream media bills themselves as "The News", and for years were assumed to be credible. The Govt. gave them many advantages due to this measure of trust afforded them. Years ago It was at least in part, true. They presented the news and you decided what to think. Today, they tell you what to think and the viewer must decide what the News actually IS....AG I know you agree with this, and Seth, but the influencer space is very much let the buyer beware... it always has been, and depending on whom you are listening, it probably always will be. Caveat Emptor.

I am one of the loudest and most consistent critics of the mainstream media. I’ve been calling them out for over a decade for bias and misinformation. They earned the decline in trust and credibility.
But it’s just a fat that the influencer space is, on average, significantly more dishonest and unreliable. The exploited the desire for a reliable alternative by feeding audiences nonsense conspiracies and intentional lies, often with foreign influence campaign boosting these efforts.
That’s not everyone, but it’s significant enough to do real harm. And groups generally don’t know how to differentiate between the reliable creators and the ones pushing garbage. It’s a real problem.

He's right that independent creators can be just as dishonest as the mainstream media, but there's a key difference. The independent creators sold us their lies while claiming to be the truth-telling alternative. That was their whole value proposition; it was their reason for being in the first place. So they haven't just failed to tell the truth. They've intentionally exploited our hunger for it. I don't know what you call that, other than evil.
