The Jews in the Book of Esther defended themselves against a legally sanctioned extermination order, rather than killing unarmed Persians. Haman's original decree (Esther 3:13) gave all citizens in the Persian Empire the legal right to kill and plunder the Jews on the 13th of Adar. When Mordecai secured a counter-decree (Esther 8:11), it allowed the Jews the same legal right to defend themselves and strike down anyone who attacked them. The text indicates this was a defensive action: The Jews "assembled to defend their lives" (Esther 9:16). They acted against those who "hated them" and were their enemies (Esther 9:5). The narrative states the enemies "had hoped to overpower them, but now the tables were turned" (Esther 9:1).

@TuckerCarlson refers to the Book of Esther as a “book of genocide against Persians,” conveniently ignoring the fact that this minority of Persians were the ones who supported and nearly achieved the GLOBAL ANNIHILATION of the Jewish People. It’s like condemning Hiroshima without mentioning Pearl Harbor or the refusal of the Japanese to surrender, or condemning Dresden without mentioning the Holocaust or Hitler’s plan for world domination. It’s like condemning Israel’s war against Hamas without mentioning the atrocities that Hamas committed on 10/7 which prompted the war. This is why, among normal people, he is circling the bowl. No one takes him seriously.

The exit of World Blitz Championship Finalist Ian Nepomniachtchi, and his exit from the top 20 happened as gracefully as we are used to from his side. I predict that there will be no return to the elite for him. Our system is constructed in a way, where it requires something extra to be invited to top events. Living in the right place, being liked by an organiser, being young. Being Russian is no longer an asset in chess. No one wants to invite someone who smears the event when he plays badly. And Nepomniachtchi is past the age of having a promising future. Most sports careers ends without noise. This whimper is likely to be the last important thing we will hear from Nepomniachtchi. If he continues in the future, he will be like other former stars, who are now bit players and occasionally bring back some memories of having been good with a few good games. But I doubt he will keep a serious work ethic, and he will end his career never having won a big trophy, although he was close so many times.

Yale research says more people have been killed in ten days in Sudan than in the last two years in the war in Gaza. Let that sink in!

Thank you Daniel, on behalf of the Susan Polgar Foundation! Here is another wonderful story about Daniel Naroditsky. This photo was taken in May 2017 (standing behind him was Arthur, one of his early chess coaches) in Livermore, CA during the SPF National Open for Girls and Boys - (spfno.com). For some years, we had this prestigious event in various locations (Santa Clara, Livermore, San Mateo, etc.) in Northern California (where Daniel was from). On many occasions, Daniel and his Dad volunteered their time to help. Daniel met with the kids, posed for photos, analyzed their games, and of course played blitz against all comers for hours and hours. He said because I helped him so much when he was younger, he wanted to pay it forward. He always made time to help when I know that he was extremely busy with school. Daniel was truly a kind, wonderful, and generous human being! Even though I am extremely sad and devastated 💔 that he's no longer with us, I am very happy to see the tremendous outpouring of love from so many fans and colleagues from around the world!
