Why aren’t any of these at risk hospitals publishing their full accounting so everyone can see where they spend their money ? All but one group of hospitals that I have looked at potentially investing in, spend so much on consultants and fees that it’s no wonder they are at risk Plus, I have NEVER seen an industry that is worse than hospitals when it comes to buying medications and items like implants, screws, other devices. They overpay for everything. And then when you show them how to save money, their “supply chain” employees resist any change. They are so set in their ways, it’s a shock more don’t go out of business. Prove me wrong.

#OTD 2012 - Lance Berkman plays an epic April Fools prank on teammate Adam Wainwright. Between innings of a spring training game at Roger Dean Stadium, Wainwright's white Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck is driven onto the warning track. The public address announcer states that the truck will be given away to a lucky fan. A stunned Wainwright watches from the bench as the "prize winners" climbed into the bed of the truck when it stops in front of the Cardinals dugout. One of the fans who jumped in the truck bed was David Freese's cousin. Berkman, who is driving, sticks his head out of the window, waves to the crowd and his teammates, and slowly drives away. When asked after the game about the prank, Wainwright said "Hilarious, those are the kinds of things that keep baseball pretty fun, besides the fact that baseball is already pretty fun." #STLCards | @UncleCharlie50

UTSA shot 24 free throws to ECU’s 4. Pirates finished the game shooting 25 percent from the floor.

ECU loses to UTSA in the American Conference tournament semifinals, 54-44. Pirates complete the year 22-10. Disappointing end, short of a potential NCAA berth. They could potentially extend their season in a postseason tournament elsewhere.
