Men think women are like banks. You deposit something nice and it grows interest over time. They are not like us. They are like restaurants. You have to change the menu, ambience, and other things to keep it running.

One of my favorite matchmaking wins this year: 35-year-old client, NYC, 5’11, real estate finance, Christian, good energy. His first two matches are fine, but don’t go anywhere. Third match is 29 y/o, gorgeous, brunette, works in health tech, Christian, loves to ski. Perfect fit for him. Their date is great, but he’s not 100% sure she’s his person yet. We set him up with a fourth match he’s intrigued by. The date is good, and… He wants to be exclusive with match #3 😌 This is a common pattern. Many singles need to meet +1 person before they realize they’ve already found their person. Now for the entertaining part. His girlfriend DM’ed me asking if I would gift his unused match to one of his single friends 😅

Actually... not worse? The average (median) adult woman now weighs 171.8 (162) pounds. The average (median) adult man now weighs 199 (191) pounds).

It's interesting to note that extreme achievers usually have some antisocial or contrarian dispositions. This helps them try new things other won't. But it comes at a cost because contrarianism is mostly wrong. Steve Jobs provides a good example.

Here's an example of a text conversation that reflects incompatibility between two singles: → Man sends an excellent text to invite a woman to drinks, and even offers to send her a car 😮 → Woman complains to the matchmaker (who made the introduction) that she expects dinner, not drinks 😬

@SlumRNA_Dog Funny how there is an ED epidemic and a premature ejaculation epidemic, depending on who you ask

@shortmagsmle I haven’t had health insurance in 15 years. Why subsidize the old and infirm?

@maxtoscano1 Great questions. The key factor for both is that he’s approaching from his *phone* on Instagram. That’s not a strong move.

True. Following random women, and especially DMing them, ruins your dating market value. One of my matchmaking clients should be easy to set up (tall + handsome + wealthy) but he’s made a pass at every attractive woman on Instagram. He’s deleted his account, and I started sourcing matches for him IRL. But way too often I’ll convince a woman to meet him, then later she’ll text me: “My girlfriend said he DM’ed her on Instagram once! No thanks. Have anyone else?” 🫠
@

Untouchable men are Top tier. No girl wants a man who's in every woman's likes, follows randoms and is too friendly with other girls, that shit is unattractive.

@ContrarianCurse @narmacnetworth Complete strawman. This poll over-represents college educated women on right and non-college men on left. Maybe the real crisis is men falling behind everywhere makes it less appealing than the days when they could provide?

There is something unsettling about the condescension with which JD Vance positions completely reasonable things like an independent Fed as "preposterous." He's a bit too smart for his own good, so he ends up as this uncanny, cartoonishly evil caricature of a populist politician
@

Vance on undermining the Federal Reserve: "I don't think we allow  bureaucrats to make decisions about monetary policy and interest rates without any input from the people that were elected to serve the American people...POTUS is much better able to make these determinations."
