Per #Reds Reds former All-Star First Baseman and Franchise Icon Joey Votto has gifted the City of Cincinnati, the Reds and the fans a custom-built Verdin street clock as a thank you for their support during his 22 years with the Reds organization. “I am excited about giving the Clock to the city, the team and its fans,” said Votto. “Being the oldest professional team, I wanted this Clock to add to the charm and mystique of the Cincinnati Reds experience.” Crafted by Cincinnati’s The Verdin Company, the Clock stands 16 feet, 8 inches tall with four 36‑inch dials, and is located on Crosley Terrace, just outside the main ballpark entrance. “We are incredibly grateful and honored to have this beautiful Clock adorn the front gates,” said Reds President and CEO Phil Castellini. “Joey made us proud every time he stepped onto the field. And this one-of-a-kind gift from him will continue to inspire and excite everyone who sees it.” The Clock is finished in the official Reds Pantone red with white trim. The top finial is hand‑painted to resemble a baseball, and each Clock face includes “Cincinnati” across the top and “Reds” along the bottom. The faces feature Roman numerals and the iconic Reds wishbone “C” centered on each dial. “There will continue to be massive moments happening at the ballpark in the future, and people making new memories,” Votto said. “I hope that I can still be part of it in some way, knowing the Clock adds character to this special place.”   Additionally, the clock head features speakers that can play hourly chimes and a wide range of music, including Take Me Out to the Ballgame. “Joey wanted the Clock to enhance our shared love of baseball, so we are collaborating with Joey and Verdin for fun ways to integrate it into our games,” said Castellini. At the base of the Clock, a bronze plaque honors Votto’s contribution. The plaque reads: “Thank you Cincinnati” with Joey Votto’s signature underneath it. “Joey was involved in planning every detail. He wanted his thank you gift to be a showstopper and we are thrilled with how it turned out,” said The Verdin Company CEO Bob Verdin III.

@RobSilver Yates has been far better, but not the answer either. Chase Silseth is the real sleeper here. Got absolutely pummelled in first outing this spring, though has the skills to take the job by mid season.

You dont include Estevez as risky or good? Velo down huge on him this spring. Agreed on Hoffman. Feels like an aberration based on previous seasons. His velo was down for a stretch in the summer and had some bad-luck-homeritis that the numbers show as an outlier. His numbers looked good, they just barrelled him up a lot more. 7.6% to 12.8%.

I think Jeff Hoffman will probably be ok in 2026 but he is the riskiest ‘good’ closer for fantasy (I don’t include Carlos Estevez) The leash is just very short - a bad first two weeks and it won’t be sustainable for him to pitch the 9th for a while IMO Again, I think he’s fine

"Six more LNG-Canada-sized projects." That's the potential for Canada right now. A report by @NLawGlobal says Canada’s LNG industry is “poised for continued growth”. With proximity to Asian and European markets, abundant reserves, responsible production and lower-emission profile, the world wants Canadian LNG. resourceworks.com/canadas-lng-ex…

@Martyupnorth Oil production up 31% in Canada since 2015 seems to suggest they have been doing so the whole time.

Martyupnorth®- Unacceptable Fact Checker
Dumbest headline I've seen in recent years. This goes to show how fucked up the country's finances really are. The Liberals are changing their narrative, and oil is good, once again. "Canada may have the ability to substantially raise its GDP and add thousands of new jobs by building more oil pipeline infrastructure, a new study suggests." Really? We've only been saying that for 30 years. Now they want to listen.

@crabalocker2 @Jenniferl554563 @StaticRomance @Coffey4Canada2 And oil production is way up. Oil Production up about 31% in Canada since 2015, significantly outpacing the overall growth in production worldwide. Alberta's own energy war room continues to post record production announcements. Easy enough to follow.

The liberals have been in power for 11 plus years. To blame this on the CPC is a joke at this point. Since 2014, Canada piled on a rising carbon tax, stricter regs (C-69), tanker bans, and looming emissions caps. Investment dropped, pipelines got killed. We didn’t lose oil… we made it harder to build, move, and compete.

This is the funniest thing I’ve seen on the internet. Afroman had his house raided by Ohio Adam County deputies… who found absolutely nothing… broke his door, trashed his place, allegedly had $400 go missing… and then they refused to pay for the damages. So, like any reasonable rapper would do… He turned his home security footage into music videos, mocking them. And then, the deputies sued him for FOUR MILLION dollars… because they didn’t like being made fun of. And Afroman’s response? He dropped ANOTHER music video. In his own words: “Unconfidential informant lied to Police to get out of some trouble. Adam County Sherriff officers made a mistake by believing the lie. Raided my house, found nothing, refused to pay for the damages and filed a lawsuit against me, Afroman, for exercising my freedom of speech! This is me holding trial in one song. I hope you enjoy it.” They said his videos “ridiculed” them… so he decided to show them what that actually looks like. And the best part? A jury basically said… yeah… you don’t get to raid someone’s home, end up in their surveillance footage, and then cry because they used it to make fun of you.

@trevortombe @Ben_oharabyrne This is why it always makes me curious why Alberta would ever align with a Trump lead United States. Trump has forever used the price of gas going down as success, while that ran counterintuitive to Alberta's oil driven economy.

We’re going to see a lot of height changes this year because, with the rollout of ABS, MLB is now measuring each player's height down to the millimeter. The process is super strict — no shoes, no hats, knees exposed, back against the wall — and to account for potential shrinkage throughout the day, MLB is even requiring all its teams to take measurements between 10 am and 12 pm local time on their appointed day.

Fighting for Canada in the U.S. is fine but that can’t be our only strategy. A strong Canada doesn’t rely on one partner. It builds leverage. That means deepening ties with European Union alongside the U.S. expanding trade, defense cooperation, and industrial partnerships. We don’t replace the U.S. We balance it. Because real sovereignty = options for Canada 🇨🇦 and Options are what we need in this world 🌍
