31 years ago, I got my first job bagging groceries at Weis Markets in Frederick, MD, for $5.25 an hour (or the price of one silver coin). That same year, a young politician named Lindsey Graham entered Congress for the first time. The young upstart never saw a war he didn’t like. No country didn’t deserve his bombs. Endless war became the norm. He watched the national debt increase 8x while ordinary Americans struggled to make ends meet. Thanks to politicians like him, that silver coin now costs around $60, but no state’s minimum wage even comes close. Lindsey Graham’s legacy is one of financial irresponsibility, and we should pray that his generation of warmongers and debt addicts finally steps aside.
