Recollect Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, who began an indefinite hunger strike on January 15, 2015, in his village, Hassanpur, Ludhiana District, at the age of 82, to protest for the release of Sikh convicts held in various jails across Punjab and other states of India. Police repeatedly took him to a private hospital in Ludhiana to save his life. Even honourable courts intervened to urge the state authorities to provide medical assistance, which the police eventually did, allowing him to survive for eight years. The positive aspect was that his symbolic hunger strike did not garner widespread public support, and he withdrew it at the request of one of the convicts. He died in 2025 at the age of 91. In such circumstances, the life of the individual on hunger strike is of utmost importance. The Indian Constitution does not permit authorities to allow a person to end their life, regardless of the circumstances. There are various ways to protest, and such protests existed during the freedom movement, when the Indian Constitution was not yet in place.

ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮ ਮਨਿਸਟਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ @narendramodi ਅੱਜ ਇਕ ਸਬੱਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਆਏ ਹੋ ਕੁੱਝ ਇੰਫਰਾਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਪੀਰਾਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਮਹਾਤਾਵਾਂ ਜੋਧਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਣਯੋਗ ਧਰਤੀ। ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਸਬਿਅਤਾ ਦਾ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਮਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਸਾਂਝੀਵਾਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਜਨਮ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਨ ਸ਼ੋ ਵਾਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਰੁੱਕਣ ਸਥੱਲ (Railway ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ) ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਮੀਲ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇੱਸ ਮਹਾਨ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਬੇਈਂ ਨਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇਂ ਮੂਲ ਮੰਤਰ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਜੱਗ ਜਾਹਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਔਰ ਇਕ ਪੈਗੰਬਰ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਪਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਜਗਾ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਲਤਾਨਪੁਰ ਲੋਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੋਹਾਡਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਹੇਠ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਫੋਟੋਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੌ ਕੂ ਮੀਲ ਦੂਰ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਆਸ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰਦਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਰੂਰ ਗੌਰ ਕਰੋਗੇ। ਇਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਅਖੀਰਲੇ ੧੮ ਸਾਲ ਖੇਤੀ ਬਾੜੀ ਦੇ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਜਾਰੇ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ :- “ਸਚੋਂ ਉਰੇ ਸਭਕੋ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੱਚ ਅਚਾਰ” । ਤੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਆਚਾਰ ਇਹਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਸ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਹ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਪੂਰਨਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੋ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਹਿਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਰਦਾ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਾਜਿਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਆਖਿਰ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਾਰੀਕਾ ਵਰਤ ਕਿ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਦੇ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਤੇ ਉਂਝ ਹੀ ਏਹ ਸਾਂਝ ਮਜੂਦ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਰਤਾਰਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਨਾ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਯਾਦਗਾਰਾਂ ੧੨ ਫੁੱਟ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਸਲੇ ਤੇ ਮਜੂਦ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਦਾਲੂਆਂ ਨੂ ਜਾਣ ਤੋ ਰੋਕਣਾ ਮਹਾ ਪਾਪ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੈ। ਆਪਜੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਂਸਮਝੀ ਦੇ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਜਾ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਤੇ ਓਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੋਚ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰਾਮ ਲੱਲਾ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਾਮਣਾ ਖੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਪਜੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਹੋ । ਇੱਸੇ ਸੋਚ ਤਹਿਤ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਵਾਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾ ਲਈ ਹਿੰਦੋਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਆਪਜੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਖੁੱਲੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਆਪਜੀ ਇਕ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮ ਦੇ ਭਾਗੀ ਬਣੋਗੇ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਨਾਮ ਲੇਵਾ ਸੰਗਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਜੀ ਤੇ ਜਰੂਰ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਮੇਂ ਆਪਜੀ ਦਾ ਤਹਿਦਿਲੋਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਜੀ। @AmitShah

ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮ ਮਨਿਸਟਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ @narendramodi ਅੱਜ ਇਕ ਸਬੱਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਆਏ ਹੋ ਕੁੱਝ ਇੰਫਰਾਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਪੀਰਾਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਮਹਾਤਾਵਾਂ ਜੋਧਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਣਯੋਗ ਧਰਤੀ। ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਸਬਿਅਤਾ ਦਾ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਮਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਸਾਂਝੀਵਾਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਜਨਮ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਨ ਸ਼ੋ ਵਾਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਰੁੱਕਣ ਸਥੱਲ (Railway ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ) ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਮੀਲ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇੱਸ ਮਹਾਨ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਬੇਈਂ ਨਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇਂ ਮੂਲ ਮੰਤਰ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਜੱਗ ਜਾਹਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਔਰ ਇਕ ਪੈਗੰਬਰ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਪਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਜਗਾ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਲਤਾਨਪੁਰ ਲੋਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੋਹਾਡਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਹੇਠ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਫੋਟੋਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੌ ਕੂ ਮੀਲ ਦੂਰ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਆਸ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰਦਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਰੂਰ ਗੌਰ ਕਰੋਗੇ। ਇਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਅਖੀਰਲੇ ੧੮ ਸਾਲ ਖੇਤੀ ਬਾੜੀ ਦੇ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਜਾਰੇ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ :- “ਸਚੋਂ ਉਰੇ ਸਭਕੋ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੱਚ ਅਚਾਰ” । ਤੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਆਚਾਰ ਇਹਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਸ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਹ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਪੂਰਨਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੋ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਹਿਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਰਦਾ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਾਜਿਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਆਖਿਰ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਾਰੀਕਾ ਵਰਤ ਕਿ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਦੇ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਤੇ ਉਂਝ ਹੀ ਏਹ ਸਾਂਝ ਮਜੂਦ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਰਤਾਰਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਨਾ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਯਾਦਗਾਰਾਂ ੧੨ ਫੁੱਟ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਸਲੇ ਤੇ ਮਜੂਦ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਫ਼ਲਸਫ਼ਾ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਦਾਲੂਆਂ ਨੂ ਜਾਣ ਤੋ ਰੋਕਣਾ ਮਹਾ ਪਾਪ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੈ। ਆਪਜੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਂਸਮਝੀ ਦੇ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਜਾ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਤੇ ਓਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਰੋਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੋਚ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰਾਮ ਲੱਲਾ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਾਮਣਾ ਖੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਪਜੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਹੋ । ਇੱਸੇ ਸੋਚ ਤਹਿਤ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਵਾਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾ ਲਈ ਹਿੰਦੋਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਆਪਜੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਖੁੱਲੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਆਪਜੀ ਇਕ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮ ਦੇ ਭਾਗੀ ਬਣੋਗੇ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਨਾਮ ਲੇਵਾ ਸੰਗਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਜੀ ਤੇ ਜਰੂਰ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਮੇਂ ਆਪਜੀ ਦਾ ਤਹਿਦਿਲੋਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਜੀ। @AmitShah
