Life is hard. Writing a book is harder. I battle the characters every night so you don’t have to. I’ve got the scars to prove it. https://t.co/418WXEjBHA

@AlanBreenAuthor there are lots of free host you can point your domain at. If your looked at someone to create the site then it will cost you. HTML is not very hard and the new IDE can almost build one for you

To save everyone money and time, I bought a domain name and started building my own website. Turns out domain names are cheap. Everything AFTER that is basically a second mortgage. Honestly, just get a Linktree. So much easier, so much cheaper, and you won't end up crying 😂

Almost....allllllmost....had a moment of excitement tonight. Got a direct email from a senior editor at Simon&Schuster re: my book. She used words that hadn't been used by me or other scammers, but I'm a cautious man, so I looked her up on Simon&Schuster's website. They, very helpfully, warn against scams by stating what official email addresses end with. The sender of my very flattering email? Only 2 letters different. Do your research.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm fully booked for May. 🥹 So many of you have reached out and trusted me with your books! Every single project I work on is a reminder of why I started doing this in the first place. Thank you for letting me be part of your journey. Slots open for June! 🫶🏻

@raelynn_cantu I can plan out about 10 chapters, then I start, by chapters 3 I am so far off the plan its a different plot totally but the plan got me started and that is all it was needed for.

RaeLynn Cantu — is ✨QUERYING✨
Writers, are you a pantser or a planner? Personally, I am a pantser. I cannot for the life of me fully plan out a novel. I've tried and can barely get through one. When I write, I know the beginning, the middle, and how it'll end. Then I just travel along with my characters. 😅

@FaithForte5 @GCeciwriter The marketplace is my proof. Everyone thinks they have skill. Some actually do, and I hope I’m one of them. But it’s clear there is a line that can’t be crossed by “hard work” alone. We would all be bestsellers, all be the actor, all be the race car driver.

@GuttCutter @GCeciwriter Talent isn’t a binary switch; it’s often just compressed learning time plus repetition. What evidence would actually change your mind, what would you need to see from someone “non-talented” improving to reconsider that view?

I don't understand writers that complain about writing or their lack of motivation. I thought anyone calling themselves a writer loves to write as much as I do. I can't wait to get at it every morning. I even like editing. Anyway, I personally don't get it.

@FaithForte5 @GCeciwriter It took years of grinding through mostly bad reviews before things flipped. That wasn’t sampling bias or curiosity, it was me getting better at my craft. This is far from the right form to take about sample size and group bias in a random group of fans.

@GuttCutter @GCeciwriter That’s a real signal shift, but it’s also noisy data, early “this sucks” can be sampling bias, while “can you continue” can be momentum or curiosity, not yet proof of durability.

@FaithForte5 @GCeciwriter Talent, skill, ability, pick your word the point is the same. I can't paint today, give me a year and a good teacher and I still can't paint, not because I lack effort , I lack talent to paint.

@GuttCutter @GCeciwriter Calling it “talent” is a bit too clean. A million words mostly buy you pattern recognition, not inevitability; you still have to deliberately upgrade execution, or you just repeat familiar mistakes at scale.

@RegalRhetoric @authorkduarte what is worst is when they try to sell you a book or course that you can follow to make million. if it worked then they wouldn't have to sell the course , dicks

@FaithForte5 @GCeciwriter The gap between vision and execution is called talent. Learn to do it better. I hit over a million words in different stories before I dared to think I had the skill and talent

@GCeciwriter Loving writing and struggling with writing aren’t mutually exclusive, though. Some writers love the craft but hate the uncertainty, isolation, or gap between vision and execution. What part do you think people are actually complaining about, the writing itself or everything?

You have the right, no the need to try, to create, to share and to recieve but you to do have the right to be successful. that is a mix of luck, talent and timing. Prove me wrong😍

@tuuu28283 Just tried the George Washington rye whiskey at Mount Vernon. Limited release, $200 a bottle, only sold in person on the estate. Holy shit. Easily one of the best whiskeys I’ve ever had. Smooth, rich, with that deep historical flavor you can’t get anywhere else.

@Gus_Z_75 @niccruzpatane To truly believe is to see God’s hand in all things. To doubt this is to doubt God. Convenient how God only stops SpaceX when a rocket explodes, but never when they stick the landing. If God didn’t want humanity leaving Earth, we wouldn’t have made it this far.

SpaceX is such a bad ass company. In their IPO filing, they wrote this: • The first private company to develop and launch a liquid-fuel rocket to reach orbit (2008) • The first private company to successfully dock a private spacecraft with the International Space Station (2012) • The first to successfully propulsively land (2015) and refly orbital-class rocket boosters (2017) • The first to begin deploying a large-scale LEO broadband satellite constellation (2019); • The first private company to transport astronauts to orbit, returning America's ability to fly astronauts to and from the International Space Station (2020) • The first to manufacture consumer-grade phased-array user terminals at scale (2022); The first to deploy a large-scale LEO satellite-to-mobile constellation (2025) • The first to build a gigawatt-scale Al training cluster and largest coherent supercomputer (2026) • The first gigawatt-scale Megapack battery installation (2026); and • The only company capable of building orbital AI compute at scale. BOOM.
