Mom of a loud kid here who has shed many tears over how we've been treated by fellow parishioners. This is wonderful.

@gavin_spoor @TRFyeomanfarmer Had a landlord with draft horses. He was still climbing into the hay mow every day to toss bales down for them when he was 89. He knew where every horse he’d ever owned still was years after he sold them.

Helped a farmer next town over put up straw bales when I was 15 or so - young and full of energy. There was an older man on the crew, he had to be mid 70’s. Absolutely lapped me. I was chugging water by what felt like the gallon and he didn’t take a sip. I remember him telling me “water’ll just slow you down, I’ll take a sip when the wagons are loaded.” Some of those older men are built different

around 2002 I helped me Uncle roof his house. My aunt worked at the elementary school and said Roger, the custodian, did roofing on the side and she asked him to stop by and lend a hand. Roger pulls up in an old station wagon loaded so full you couldn't see the windows. 1/
