@CatholicSOTC Well, isn’t confession exponentially more beneficial to the soul? It almost seems these people are in a never-ending trance of the 60s.

According to @TaylorRMarshall this man belongs to the same religion as Padre Pio did. Right. Don’t believe your lying eyes: just trust a dad with a webcam. #catholicism

@FrDaveNix So disappointing. That is absolutely the wrong way to approach the abuse problem. How about we stop ordaining people not suited for the priesthood?

@FredSimonTLM @MLJHaynes Please, give us more synodality. Things are moving quite fast in the Vatican nowadays. Its synodality juiced up to the tenth degree. We might never see an orthodox Pope in our lifetime. It’s really hurtful to come to that realization.

NEW: The Synod office issues new document to guide “path of implementation of the Synod on Synodality” in lead up to 2028 Vatican Synodal Assembly 4 stages identified with local, national, continental church bodies to compose new synodal reports at every stage, in build up to Oct 2028 Assembly. All work to be guided by this question: “In light of the journey undertaken after the conclusion of the 2021-2024 Synod, & with a view to offering its fruits as a gift to the other Churches & to the Holy Father: what concrete form of a missionary synodal Church & what new paths of synodality are emerging in your community?”

This is gravely offensive to God James Martin's growing influence on the Church undermining God's condemnation of sodomy as an act of grave depravity (Cf. Genesis 19:1-29; Romans 1:24-27; 1 Corinthians 6:10; 1 Timothy 1:10).

@FrDaveNix No devotional confessions then. I am of the opinion that Catholics should go to confession every 2-4 weeks, even for venial sins. If one wants to overcome sin, the confessional is where one finds the grace. I was once told not to show up for venial sins during confession.

A friend from another state texted me this afternoon about this problem in his parish: "I am writing to ask for your advice on the following struggle of our family: Our parish Pastor has repeated from the pulpit over the last six months or so that the Sacrament of Confession is *only* to be used for mortal sins..." [and then more text not included here.] Here was my reply to the layman about his priest: "Mr. M., great to hear from you! I actually tackled this on a recent podcast that it's absolutely bananas to say confession is only for mortal sins. It's wrong for the obvious reasons you mention, how the Church has ALWAYS taught venial sins may be confessed even when there is no mortal sins. But the bigger issue is that when a priest says 'Only confess mortal sins...' well, guess who only shows up in line? Mortal sinners... meaning the priest has just revealed that anyone in line is in mortal sin. I have a hard time not coming to the conclusion that he has broken the seal. Or something pretty close to it. Maybe you should write him a very polite letter pointing this out to put the fear of God into him. Just say: 'So since you only want those in line with mortal sin, does that mean I should come to the conclusion that everyone in line is in mortal sin? Is that a public revelation of your parishioners' private sins you're willing to answer to God for one day?'" ************** Only after texting him did I think maybe I should share this to Twitter. And he gave me permission to share our texts.

@TradCathEd I didn't know you needed "theological training" to know those two clowns shouldn't have worshipped a Pachamama doll. Duly noted, Larry. ✍🏼

@TaylorRMarshall I am blessed to have the FSSP. Therefore, tomorrow is my Ascension Day in California. The fact that I also have to fulfill my Sunday obligation means more grace, more beauty, and more worship. This means greater joy! More masses and less convenience is what is needed.
