@GTAJJ_ @mikeindiee @PlayStation I don't give a shit about records, I want a good game. A roguelike with 2D graphics and a fictional dead child from ten years ago has given me more entertainment than your hyped, generic open world shooty.

The reason for the hype is from it consistent successful predecessors. GTA V still holds the World Records for the fastest selling media product to 1 billion. Those thousands of others do not hold a candle to GTA lol. What makes it even more impressive is that this record was made with just 2 consoles. And not a single music record/album, art piece, film or game has beaten that selling power. Again, I will be there day one because the platform gives me that option.
