@Docofgothm No calls currently, as the LEAPs expired in Jan. Sold the 25s and exercised the 20 C so holding quite a sizable IREN position. Options plays are $CIFR, $AMZN, $ASST and $EOSE which were on deep discount last month.

Yes, obviously I'm cherry picking from the Tariff lows. Thats part of why this is a fun bragging metric, not a skill metric. Post your peak, grade yourself on your own curve. Reference: 25% → 3.3 SPY Years 50% → 6.0 SPY Years 100% → 10.2 SPY Years 200% → 16.2 SPY Years 300% → 20.5 SPY Years

@eddyluxe_ @chiptomunk Truth! Been wrestling with this feeling more lately as miners have had a killer run. Previous pumps were so fleeting… quick profits was the way to go.

@Kidkolas1 Thanks! Those of us holding LEAPs have a right to be traumatized by 12 months of abysmal miner performance. I lost $80k in $CLSK calls in June, and was so frustrated with the company, I sold my remaining 1440 calls at breakeven last month. They’d be up $150k today.

@chiptomunk Sucks to see your calls continue running after you sell and wondering, "what if". However, what I've noticed is that for every call that kept running after I took profit, there's another call that tanked after I sold. Over a long enough timeline, it all balances out.

@DeepValueBagger My $CLSK leaps unfortunately did not fare so well. Those were even more painful having been up 6 figures only to expire worthless in June. Learned my lesson and trimmed enough IREN calls to feel good whatever the outcome from here.

$IREN $20K --> $2M First of all, this is *NOT* an easy to HODL and here's why: On July 16, $IREN opened at $12.30, and the LEAPS here were bought ~100% higher strike (shows conviction) However, by August 5, $IREN dropped50% (to $6), so imagine these Calls getting decimated. Then, IREN stayed under $10 until the end of November. And, it will only finally break even by Thanksgiving 2024. Your conviction is tested. Enter 2025, and $IREN endures more volatility, falling as low as $5 by April, amid the tariff armageddon. Your calls are underwater. Your conviction is tested again. Eventually, $IREN starts pumping, reaching $12, $15, $18, $20, and $25. This is the HARDEST part. Not taking profit on these calls and letting $IREN run from $12 all the way to $48. (8X in 5 months from the April lows) That's why the post says, "6 months" because that's where the alchemy of $20K to $2M happened, but during those 6 months, it was tough not to take some profit, especially when you saw your stock go from $12 to $6 TWICE. Congrats to the HODLER for their conviction and patience. Well earned for not selling early and hanging on to it. 👏👏👏

@GaryCardone Thanks Gary! Always enjoy your perspective on spaces. I have an idiosyncratic approach that works for me. 50% cash reserve and look for assymetric upside with out of the money LEAPs. I deploy 1-2% of investment capital per position with at least 12 months until they expire.
