These two giant tortoises have been fighting each other for over 120 years. According to the zoo, one tortoise stole the other’s food 120 years ago, and from that day on they became enemies. There hasn’t been a single day where they haven’t fought for a while

Colman Domingo spoke to Men's Health about his experience coming out as gay to his family in the 1990s. The first person he told was his older brother: "I told him that I was gay. He looked at me and was just like, 'What?' He just couldn’t believe it. Eventually, he said, 'I don’t care, man. I love you anyway.' And he just hugged me. Then he said, 'Have you told anyone else?' I said, no. He said, 'Alright, this stays between you and me.”’ Her sister found out two days later: "She was pissed off. I said, 'Look, yes, it was really hard for me to tell him.' She said, 'No, no, no. Why didn’t you tell me first?' She was pissed off because she didn’t get the information first.’ Some time later, he told his mother—who accepted it calmly. the Reimer case quite literally validates the identity of trans folks in that forcing a gender identity onto someone who does not align with said gender identity has detrimental effects on mental health but transphobes use this case as a gotcha because they are braindead

On the left is David Reimer, and on the right is Brenda Reimer. They are the same person. As a child, he was the victim of a botched circumcision, and on the advice of a doctor, his family decided to have him castrated and raised as a girl. For years, doctors presented the case as proof that a child’s gender identity could be shaped by upbringing. But he never felt like a girl. He rejected dresses, hated being treated that way, and struggled deeply with the identity forced on him. At 14, his parents finally told him the truth. A year later, he chose to live as a boy again and took the name David. He later married and became a stepfather, but the trauma followed him for the rest of his life. In 2004, David Reimer died by suicide at 38.
