building from scratch with claude code ! dont have a copy of a pid on my phone, but have built a claude plugin for most of our engineering drawings to be generated from text. its working okay-ish. gets the point across but makes me miss having a drafting team. purposefully blurry here bc yanno

hard tech founders: if you have hazardous chemicals on site and your PSM strategy is "hope OSHA doesn't show up" - this is for you built a claude code plugin that screens your facility and generates a full 41-document audit-ready program @AnthropicAI @claudeai link in comments

It pays to have friends in manufacturing, I almost bought a $15,000 simulation suite when a friend told me he paid $5,000. A simple email to the sales guy and I got the better price.

everyday mfs ask me: modafinil or armodafinil? and the honest answer is it depends COMPLETELY on your genetics. and the only good way to find out is to test both and see for yourself. it specifically depends on your CYP2C19 enzyme - the cytochrome P450 variant responsible for metabolizing both compounds. armodafinil is the isolated r-enantiomer of modafinil. same compound, but one mirror image molecule removed. longer half-life, cleaner profile, lower dose required. on paper the pharmacokinetics just look superior. and technically, they are cleaner. but if you're a poor CYP2C19 metabolizer; meaning your enzyme clears these compounds slowly - modafinil's shorter effective profile actually works in your favor. armodafinil will linger too long and might mess up your sleep. but if you're an extensive metabolizer, the opposite is true. modafinil clears too fast and you lose the window. armodafinil's longer half-life is exactly what you need. half the population carries CYP2C19 variants that dramatically change how these drugs behave in your body. blanket recommendations fail because they ignore this entirely. THERE IS NO RIGHT ANSWER, JUST ANECDOTES you can get genetic testing - 23andme reports on CYP2C19 variants and pharmacogenomics panels go deeper. or you do what most people actually do: experiment intelligently and let your own response tell you what your genes already know. the people confidently recommending one over the other are just reporting on their individual experience. nothing else. so go find out what the answer is for yourself. not medical advice, obviously. this is strictly theoretical us modafinil: modafinilxl.com/buy/modvigil-d… us armodafinil: modafinilxl.com/buy/waklert-do… eu modafinil: modawhale.to/shop/nootropic… eu armodafinil: modawhale.to/shop/nootropic… uk modafinil: modafinilxl.com/buy/modvigil-u… uk armodafinil: aus modafinil: modafinilxl.com/buy/modvigil-a… aus armodafinil: intl modafinil: modafinilxl.com/buy/modvigil-2… intl armodafinil: modafinilxl.com/buy/waklert-15…

full context my puppy broke 4 ribs at daycare and i read a paper on bpc cutting rib injury healing times in half so just trying to understand all opinions on it and make sure i still feel good about this treatment plan, but did talk to medical professionals about this and his dosing

my thoughts on BPC-157 is that IF you are going to use it, you should absolutely NOT use it if you have a history of or have hereditary malignancies. you should also not continuously take BPC-157. while we don't have enough data, BPC's promotion of VEGF in mostly rodent studies is enough to deter me from using it even in the short term. when dosing stops, VEGF seems to return to normal so it's insane for me to hear that people are "blasting and cruising" this compound especially in neurotic tech circles

since @maxmarchione and i last spoke a bunch of things have happened in the world of peptides from RFK's reclassification to huberman posting to people discovering that bodybuilders got there first (bodybuilders drive the culture). so max and i caught up once again to cover all of this. also the mics should be working in this and i think the color is properly graded but yeah just let me know in the comments if something is off. i know you guys will. cheers 👍 01:21 - RFK peptide reclassification 03:55 - Why are peptides are popular now 05:00 - Bodybuilders did it first 08:50 - @hubermanlab on @a16z 13:25 - Black market vs grey market vs compounding pharmacy 16:35 - The stages of peptide legalization 19:47 - The genie is out of the bottle 23:40 - @tjparker reaction 26:10 - @asparagoid reaction 29:29 - Short term vs long term risk tradeoffs

creatine was used for 80 years before it got any formal thumbs up, and only got studied because of the strength of anecdotal evidence. currently tons of strong anecdotal about bpc, def needs to be studied formally, hopefully its not 80 years when neurosurgeons are saying it changed their life @braindoc69

@H2Colby sorry "FDA approval" wasn't the right language but it is recognised by them and is treated as a dietary supplement. doesn't change my argument. tons of human data. safe to use. BPC. next to no human data. questionable to use at best

@creatine_cycle creatine is 3 aminos and unregulated, where is the line on safety between there and 15 like in bpc?

i dont disagree with your blasting and cruising comment. take it for an injury until its better and then get off. just seems like 2x-ing your protein intake would give more bpc-157 aminos than taking bpc-157?? is vegf a driving factor to avoid amino acids if one is healthy without "harmful blood vessels?"

@H2Colby do they all promote VEGF? and i do consider the unreal doses given to mice but i'm not sure how that is relevant given there is basically no data on humans? i also said that "blasting and cruising" is bad. i would consider that an unreal dose in humans

FUCK i wish i could take the USSR cosmonaut stimulant phenylpiracetam more than once a week: - enhances acetylcholine utilization for learning consolidation and memory formation - working memory expands, holding multiple complex concepts simultaneously without losing bandwidth - pattern recognition becomes almost precognitive, seeing connections 3-4 steps ahead - 30-60x more potent than the OG nootropic piracetam - actually crosses the blood-brain barrier due to the phenyl group attachment - upregulates dopamine and norepinephrine receptor density in the striatum and prefrontal cortex - increases the number of receptors available to bind neurotransmitters, not just flooding them - verbal fluency improves, articulating complex technical concepts becomes effortless - processing speed increases dramatically - task-switching without context loss between complex problems feels effortless - abstract reasoning improves through sustained dopaminergic tone in prefrontal regions - actual stimulant properties, physical stamina and energy increase alongside cognition - anxiolytic effect at moderate doses, reduces stress response without sedation - enhanced mood and motivation through dopaminergic upregulation - neuroprotective, reduces cognitive impact of hypoxia and physical stress - hits in 30-45 minutes, lasts 4-6 hours - synergizes with noopept through completely non-overlapping mechanisms (my favorite combo) - anticonvulsant properties documented in russian literature - banned by WADA for physical performance enhancement (fuck yeah) - cold resistance documented in studies - developed for cosmonauts operating under extreme conditions - fat-soluble, take with dietary fat for maximum bioavailability unfortunately tolerance builds after a single use... dose max 1-2x/ week to keep the magic. original russian brand: cosmicnootropic.com/products/nanot… eu (ships from france): euro-nootropics.com/product/phenyl… us: kimerachems.co/product/phenyl… not medical advice.
