All over the city, NYC Health offers FREE COVID-19 testing and treatment. All of them are free, so you don't have to pay out of pocket. If you are interested in learning more, you can visit the COVID-19 Testing - Coronavirus (nyc.gov) website.

In other news if you are interested in staying safe & getting COVID-19 at-home tests, the federal government offers them for FREE on its website. You can simply order them here at : covid.gov/tests. You can also text “COVID TEST” to 855-48 to find a test site near you.

As of April 24th 2023 , the most recent COVID-19 update available from the CDC shows the lowest levels of infection rates in all 5 Boroughs of NYC since the start of the pandemic. There has also been a decline in the number of Covid patient hospitalizations in NYC as well.

New York City has reported 273 COVID-19 cases per day, with a 22% average decrease from last week. There have been a total of 3,362,203 reported cases since the pandemic began. In this study, at-home testing did not account for the substantial undercount of cases.
