@KanwalSibal The irony is, Pakistan mediated a MoU with Iran and Iran wants to control the strait but when it comes to India, it’s against international law, meanwhile, 🇵🇰 slaughters PoK Kashmiris and implementing IRGC tactics.

If the Indus Waters Treaty, signed in 1960, was a vital instrument of regional peace, stability, and cooperation, how come Pakistan initiated the 1965 war, the war in 1971 took place. Pakistan has discarded the 1972 Simla Agreement. In the 1990s Pakistan made terrorism an instrument of state policy. Mumbai and several other terror attacks, even against the Indian parliament, were sponsored. The Kargil aggression occurred after Vajpayee made the Lahore visit. Army Chief Munir openly talks of irreconcilable differences between Hindus and Muslims in saying that their "religion, customs, traditions, thoughts, and ambitions" are entirely different. Teror can be used as a weapon but “shared waters must never be weaponized.” Other bridges, including trade, can be broken, but water “ must remain a bridge between nations”. Even under the IWT Pakistan did all it could to complicate and delay Indian run of the river projects permitted by the IWT on rivers allotted to Pakistan. @MIshaqDar50

It was a privilege to address the seminar, “Indus Waters Treaty: An Instrument of Regional Peace and Stability,” where leading experts from Pakistan and abroad discussed one of the defining challenges of our time in South Asia. I underscored that the Indus Waters Treaty is not merely a water-sharing arrangement but a vital instrument of regional peace, stability, and cooperation. Shared waters must never be weaponized. They must remain a bridge between nations, guided by cooperation, dialogue, and respect for international law. Any attempt to deprive Pakistan of its rights under the Treaty would have profound consequences for regional peace and security, undermining the shared interests of nearly two billion people of South Asia.

@MoIB_Official Hand Kashmir back and give the Kashmiris the choice they have demanded for. Give the Balochi’s they own nation, stop harbouring and targeting India with your terrorists and then maybe India would let the waters flow. If not, ask Iran, your terrorist buddy for water!

"We are not merely discussing a treaty; we are discussing the lifeline of more than 240 million people of Pakistan. When we identify ourselves as Pakistanis, we ask the question: who are we? If you go back into history, the Indus Valley Civilization defines us as people, whenever I go abroad, I often tell my counterparts that we are the people of the Indus Valley Civilization. Our identity is that we are people whose lives have been shaped on the banks of the mighty River Indus. As they say, water is life, and the Indus has given life to Pakistan. So, when we say that the Indus is our lifeline and that the 240 million people of Pakistan have an inalienable right to its waters, we mean it from the core of our hearts. For Pakistan, as I said, water is not simply a resource; it is a matter of life itself. This river system has, for thousands of years, nurtured one of the world's oldest civilizations. From the towering peaks of Pakistan to the fertile plains of Punjab and Sindh, these waters have connected our people across geography and history." #IndusWatersTreaty

@SpockTheVulcan3 @FrenchResponse Do you think the 🇺🇸 are checking Europe’s weather forecast too? These are people who spend their time on social media (me being one too) and there’s a cognitive bias. I’ve over 30 🪴and the science shows how plants help, this is why they are focusing on green growth & not AC’s

@HDSartist @FrenchResponse I wonder why? Is it cuz Europe has a public internet meltdown every summer like clockwork? You think Americans would otherwise be checking the weather forecast for Stockholm?

@SpockTheVulcan3 @FrenchResponse South Europe may have internet meltdowns, Northern Europe works fine. Back in 2018 we did have a bad heatwave and yet the vast majority didn’t install AC’s, I wonder why? Oh and I have a warm pump that acts as an AC but it doesn’t make sense to use it even during that heatwave.

@yeskayess @RightSide_Uk Dude, you are talking to another Indian, this is an Indian train, not Pakistan as their common dress code is different. Also, have you ever traveled with an unreserved ticket, it’s worse than this. Mumbai trains are over crowded 10 times its capacity too btw.

@LibraLady33 @ArunKrishnan_ I’ve responded based on the continent I live in, your questions are a direct reflection to the continent you live in. You’ve not taken into account socio-environmental factors which will have an adverse effect. Your opinion is unscientific and not fact based.

Europeans, who traditionally have been blessed with cooler climes, virtue signalled about climate change and gave up on air conditioning, while lecturing the rest of the world that lives in hotter climes. Now that they are subjected to the same heat that Asia, Africa and most of the rest of the world is subjected to, their condescension is coming back to bite them.

@LibraLady33 @ArunKrishnan_ Why the black and white catastrophic thinking? Unlike North America, EU politicians don’t make hasty decisions pertaining to such matters as cost to the environment is far more important for our future. They know what they are doing and have sustainable plans. Do some research.

@HDSartist @ArunKrishnan_ Did you not read what I wrote? Did you not see I included passive cooling technologies? And not every building in Europe is ancient stone. There is lots of new housing. I'm not talking about US style energy hog AC. What's your answer? Let people die? Alrighty then.

@LibraLady33 @ArunKrishnan_ It’s illogical investment, and extremely expensive given Europe is ancient cities, built with stone. Then comes electricity surges, which North America has issues not to mention higher electric bills. Cooling emissions are growing faster than other sectors.

@LibraLady33 @ArunKrishnan_ Investments for 2 to 3 weeks and not even every year? Now that’s not a wise way to invest tax payers money. People are free to buy AC’s for themselves should they need one. 98% of the time it’s going to be collecting dust, Europe is a cold continent overall.

@HDSartist @ArunKrishnan_ AC & refrigeration contribute about 7% of greenhouse gas emissions. Not insignificant; Euros were right to avoid as long as possible. But is it possible anymore? We need major international investment in passive cooling technologies and less harmful AC. Fighting is not helpful.

@Ahle16714618 @desertstackdev It’s a demographic split. Gulf filters for law-abiding, contract-bound workers. The West faces a wave of undocumented/loophole migration from highly conservative, low-literacy areas. Resulting integration failures and social services interventions are a matter of data, not bias.

You are a shameless creature madam. Let me share my experience with Pakistani, I was 23 when I joined Huawei software cell in dubai, first time out of the country and figuring things out. My room was almost 10-12km away from office. I would travel via public bus service, and it was not that frequent. Because we were starting a new project the work would stretch beyond 8PM. My Pakistani lead would drop me back even when he lived opposite of were I lived he would drop me and then drive all the way back crossing the office again towards his place. And then after a while I came to know that he has a disabled child who needed more of his attention. And countless similar gestures. A lot of what I am today professionally is due to him. But assholes like you will always be there to spoil our image.
Nivedita Shukla@ShuklaNive

Im at the Frankfurt Airport for a 10 hr layover. I have been traveling around for years but now it feels different. The hate for India and Indians is at peak and we subconsciously feel every one is hating on us. It's been 3 hrs now, I noticed a fellow brown colored human being who took a flight with me from Dublin. Humble clothing, unkempt face, a ragged backpack and a faded jacket. Something told me this man was poor. Most ppl were either looking at him with a judgmental look that I hate or avoiding him completely. I saw him looking at the food menu at different outlets, the cheapest I guess. My heart ached for him, he could be a hard working brother who hasn't come to terms with spending Euros yet. I have brought extra food with me. I walked up to him with my parcel of food, I asked, "Aap Dublin se aaye hain?" He smiled and answered- "Ji." Then I asked, "Kahan ja rahe hain?" "Karachi, Paxtaan!' He said, beaming. I turned around and walked back to my chair. Jaa mar!!

@umedpratapsingh European houses are designed to keep heat in with heavy insulation. So a standard 43°C hits higher indoors and their bodies are used to such heat, just as an average Indian is not used to basic -10°C in the winters.
