Today, I was pleased to host @LoisBrownCanada, President of @HPICanada, at the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale brutal military invasion, Ukraine’s healthcare system has been under constant attack - with hospitals and infrastructure targeted, and demand for urgent medical care rapidly increasing. In these conditions, sustained international support is not only important, it is also indispensable. Since 2022, HPIC has delivered essential medicines and medical supplies to Ukraine worth approximately $30 million. These are not abstract figures, they represent concrete support reaching hospitals and frontline medical teams, helping treat the wounded and ensuring patients across Ukraine continue to receive essential care. I welcome HPIC’s launch of the new “Medicines for Ukraine” appeal, which will help ensure the continued delivery of life-saving treatments to those who need them most. I am sincerely grateful to Lois Brown and the entire HPIC team for their consistent and practical support for Ukraine. Their work is a strong example of how Canadian organizations are making a real difference on the ground.🇺🇦🇨🇦

Today, the High Commissioner of Kenya in Canada, H.E Ambassador Carolyne Kamende Daudi together with Lois Brown, President of Health Partners International Canada (HPIC) and her team flagged off a 40ft container-load of medical donations destined for Kenya. This follows an earlier meeting with HPIC President in December, 2025 at the distribution centre in Oakville, Toronto. The High Commissioner thanked HPIC and the team for the good work they are doing in Kenya noting that the donations will go a long way in supporting Kenya's healthcare agenda especially the Universal Health Coverage. Thanks to our partnership with @HPICanada, a shipment of multivitamins reached 9 health centers in Poland through our partner Morkod—supporting adults & children in need. Your support brings hope in times of crisis! 💙

With support from @HPICanada, Anera provided more than 30,000 units of medicines and medical supplies to 14 health centers across Lebanon. This support is helping ensure that the most vulnerable have access to life-saving treatment.

HPIC receives hundreds of handmade Izzy Dolls used to securely pack the medicines in our Humanitarian Medical Kits and that provide comfort to sick children. Each one represents care, compassion, and the human connection that accompanies every shipment of healing support we send.
