Preemptive note, since I hear I’m about to be discussed in a Space tonight: If you don’t know me, I’m a biomedical researcher and a 4x NIH-funded principal investigator who’s been tracking the long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2 since 2020. I’ve translated and shared hundreds of peer-reviewed articles—always grounded in science and a deep concern for human life. To be clear: there are now over 500,000 studies on the consequences of SARS-CoV-2 infection. I’m not here for clout or controversy. I speak out because Long Covid is real, widespread, and devastating. I’ve raised alarms because the science demands it: •Meta-analyses show that ~50% of people have had Long Covid at some point, and ~30% still have symptoms two years later •In healthcare workers, prevalence is also around 50% •Neurological injury can occur regardless of vaccination status •There are no cures—only symptom management Years ago, I built a model projecting global spread based on cumulative infection risk. It predicted that by September 2025, the majority of the world would have had Long Covid. That doesn’t mean 70% won’t recover—but the data suggest 30% won’t. That’s not alarmism. That’s math. I’m also a professor. And a dad. I’ve watched my own daughter’s health decline after infection. So no—I will not take a casual approach to this pandemic. If someone wants to mischaracterize me as “alarmist” or call me the “Steve Kirsch of Zero Covid” (a truly ridiculous comparison), that says more about them than it does about me. I’m here to protect lives and advocate for airborne mitigations—air purifiers, masking, and clean indoor air—especially in healthcare settings and schools. That’s it. If that’s controversial, we’ve lost the plot. Here’s a one-page resource I put together—full of facts and citations. No one has refuted it: uofi.box.com/s/9llu70jkrfm6…

8/ When internal enemies are manufactured. Autocrats stay in power by creating enemies — minorities, immigrants, the press, historic allies. It's about fear. Division. “Protecting” the nation from threats that don’t exist.

A sobering message from a history teacher: I’ve spent years teaching American and international government — from strong democracies like the UK to authoritarian regimes like russia and China. But lately, the most alarming lesson comes from home. 1/n

btw the best way to gauge how traumatized you are isn’t how you react to people being cruel to you, but rather to people being kind to you — if kindness makes you cry or feel like crying, that means you’re doing really, really bad

Most think trauma comes from big, dramatic events. But Maté discovered something shocking: A child who feels invisible can carry deeper wounds than one who suffered physical pain. Because trauma isn't what happened TO you...

People who have been in long term relationships, I’m talking about 4+ years. After the breakup, do you actually ever get over the person? Like FULLY?

If you’re an American right now and you are against Canada, sorry to have to tell you, but you’re not an American anymore. You’re a Russian. You’re just not smart enough to know it.

I've been going to the gym for about two years now, and despite losing over 25kg - I've not had a single friend or family member compliment me on my weight loss. Makes me wonder what the bloody point is.

This man is told he cannot withdraw HIS OWN MONEY from the bank unless he has proof of what he wants to spend the money on. How is this behaviour legal? IT'S HIS MONEY!

@Thesociallyawk3 @feederofcats The first post has 19.2 million views vs only 1.5 million for the second. That is potentially 17.7 million people who didn't read through and potentially now incorrectly believe the adopted family to be some sort of vicious/heinous animal abusers. You're ok with that?

I have terrible, disturbing, infuriating news. Wonton was adopted on Thursday to what seemed like a great home. She left as a healthy, perfect, playful kitten. Friday morning, just 20 hrs later, she was returned to me broken, bleeding, in critical condition.
