@jekavanagh Why would we accept what isn't true😭 Iran controls nothing Fear of missile strikes and a lack of shipping insurance caused the hold up in the gulf and enabled the narrative that Iran was winning to look like it was true. But it wasn't and now ships are being escorted out by 🇺🇲

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz is a problem CAUSED by U.S. military power, not one U.S. military power can fix. The sooner Washington accepts this, the sooner we can start working toward a diplomatic resolution.

@EricLDaugh This has nothing to do with non-citizens voting. It has everything to do with who will be disenfranchised by the SAVE Act: -minorities -native Americans -poor and/or unhoused people -married women -etc Own it, MAGA. Be proud of what you want.

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. The Washington Post just announced that Donald Trump would've won NEW MEXICO if elections required citizenship And other blue states would become closer races if the SAVE America Act was passed Did they just...admit to the cheating?! That brings Trump's Electoral College count up to 317! "The Save America Act could swing key states to the right" New Mexico ends up R+3.3 Connecticut at D+4.9, Washington to D+4.7, MARYLAND to just D+8.8 Meanwhile, red states get redder Now WHY COULD THAT BE? Pass the SAVE America Act.

@The_FJC Yup. The entire 'Iran is winning' narrative collapsed this morning and everyone who spent the last 2 months rooting against our country lost all credibility. Iran's bluff got called and with it went any chance they might have had of walking back their retarded statements.

Today American Apache helicopters flew over the Strait of Hormuz. Today American destroyers sailed where Iran said they couldn't. Today American-flagged ships passed where Iran said nothing would pass. Today Iran's speedboats met the US Navy. It didn't end well for Iran. This is what American strength looks like. God bless every service member out there tonight. 🇺🇸

@McFaul Sir your country has assisted suicide and your parliament gave a standing ovation to a nazi soldier a few years back. To say that giving money to the most corrupt country in Europe somehow makes you a leader of the free world is... well, not smart. I'll put it that way

Just shameful that the US is not sharing the burden in the greatest fight for freedom of our lifetimes. Canada is now a more consequential leader of the free world than the US. Hope this changes in the future.
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

Today, we announced $270 million of new military support to Ukraine. Ukraine’s fight is our fight. Their cause — freedom, democracy, sovereignty — is our cause. Good to see President @ZelenskyyUa today in Yerevan. 🇨🇦🇺🇦

@mhdksafa That sounds convoluted. So let's make it simple. Iran isn't preventing the US navy from passing through the straits and now our navy is escorting commercial ships through as well. Iran's 'control' was always based on fear and a lack of shipping insurance. Not real capabilities

The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States for the seventh time won the war that wasn’t a war, so the United States can open the Strait of Hormuz that was open before the not war. The not war that started to get the uranium that was completely obliterated, so that the Iranians can’t build the nuclear bomb that they weren’t building for the not war that the United States started. Then the United States which has nuclear weapons threatening to use nuclear weapons to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons because having nuclear weapons is dangerous. If the United States saw what the United States is doing in the United States, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

GULF OF TONKIN REMIXED The Empire of Piracy always reverses to old tricks. "Project Freedom" has nothing "humanitarian" about it. Devious terminology lays out a trap. There's NO way the US Navy will get anything closer to the Strait of Hormuz. This is a Gulf of Tonkin set up. Dept. of Forever Wars creating the perfect pretext to restart the war.

The IRGC's attack on the UAE today was both predictable and sad. Predictable because the pipeline at Fujairah was a direct threat to their global oil and gas blackmail. Sad because again, the IRGC chose death in the wake of Trump formally (and legally in the US) ending Operation Epic Fury to ensure that a sympathetic (or traitorous) Congress couldn't come to their rescue by restraining Trump. They could have effectively negotiated a surrender over a war they've lost, and a gambit that they've been outplayed in, but they didn't. And now, the Iranian people will suffer. And they've done this all to serve the designs of those in Europe (and, yes, London) to keep this conflict going in the vain hope of drawing Trump into a war he's not going to fight. Their leverage is gone. The US Navy is escorting ships through the Strait. The only ones not going through are obvious co-conspirators (mostly Indian, nee British), trying to keep this thing in the headlines and the global threat to oil prices up. Now, they've given him all the legal justification he needs to do that which he pre-positioned a whole lotta military power to do. And they have no one but themselves to blame for it. All of this while there was a direct attack on the UAE currency and the US 30-year bond market, which is playground of the Bank of England, took place during a British banking holiday when Gilt markets were closed. (H/T @LeveredUSTs... for that observation).

@Jondeli75 @WarClandestine I'll say this. I think we'd have a better ability to keep them out of our hemisphere if we consolidate our forces here than if we remain spread out all over the world. There's also a chance they'll choose not to put forces on our doorstep if we don't have armies on their doorstep

I agree this is what he is doing and as MAGA, I think that it is foolish to some degree. If we think this will end China’s global ambitions and expansion into our hemisphere, I think Trump may be wrong. I also don’t think it will make Tussia our ally all of a sudden. Hopefully he proves me wrong as he has his detractors every single time!

Trump says Iran took some shots at unrelated nations, and calls on South Korea to come defend their cargo ships. What is significant about South Korea? Large standing US MIL presence, just like Germany. I think we are about to see US troops withdrawn from South Korea, just like Germany. I think my hypothesis is coming to fruition. I think Trump’s plan is to remove our standing armies on Russia’s and China’s doorsteps, and he is using Iran to show the world why it needs to be done. The end goal is to consolidate US MIL in the Western Hemisphere, and relieve the tensions with Russia and China. I think this is what Trump means when he says “the world’s most powerful reset”. The world map is being redrawn, and the old guard is being removed from power.

@WeTheBrandon The cope begins. Iran has no real ability to keep the strait closed and has depended on the fear factor of threats to shoot at ships who don't pay them to maintain this illusion of control. The illusion is shattering along with the credibility of those parroting Iran's narrative

The US had announced it would open the Strait of Hormuz today by force. The US claims to have attacked Iranian gunboats, while Iran has hit many targets in UAE. There is now a risk of returning to all-out war

@Glenn_Diesen And now we reach the part where the illusion of Iran’s control over the straits (the entire basis for claims of Iranian victory in the war) gets smashed on the rocks of REALITY. Iran LOST. And all these ‘anti-imperialists’ and so called ‘realists’ have been lying for 2 months now

@PawlowskiMario OK I’ll bite. The idea that we are screwed without allies who don’t have functional militaries is retarded. The UK has no navy and the Germans have no army. NATO collectively were able to deploy 15 men to Greenland and called it a show of force. But we’re screwed without them?😭

I don’t know if Americans realize this but without NATO China and Russia will fuck America without the condom and a lubricant if they want. Without NATO, Canada and EU America has no friends, and if you think that Russia will become your ally, go to Brighton Beach in Brooklyn NY. Go there and try to befriend Russians with your light beer and wearing a Walmart fashion while talking about hate to immigrants 🤡🤣
