@Claydencows The Champion cow was a super looking cow BUT it was 60 inches tall plus and would not FIT into most modern large herd environments. The calves winning the calf classes followed the same theme and were narrow and expected to have ridiculous deep stomachs etc.

@Claydencows Super thread. Having just returned from commentating at a local agricultural show ( at which we had over 100 dairy cattle ) I am left despondent at both the judging and the classification system and above all Holstein UK.

There is a realisation in the farming community that they are neither respected nor supported enough to realistically deliver food, landscapes and nature within one business. Too many other interests in the market I believe that 24 will be a year of reckoning in the countryside.
