@SmpsnJermaine @LNallalingham Everyone is answering yes but I bet half of them voted for Brexit which is what has caused this as we are no longer part of the Dublin agreement 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

@LNallalingham Would it have been better if 350k EU nationals came to Britain?

🚨 Net migration has fallen to 171,000. But the underlying numbers tell the real story: 🇬🇧 British nationals: -136,000 🇪🇺 EU nationals: -42,000 🌍 Non-EU nationals: +349,000 So the “drop” in migration is largely being driven by more British and EU nationals leaving the country… …while net migration from the rest of the world still remains extremely high. Our politicians still do not understand why the British public is unhappy with immigration policy.

@raelbrav And what do I do in order to get to work on time? It’s less about the food, more about the time (I pay £5 a day per child for my BF club)

@LucyTCWife But some people can’t or won’t. Should the child suffer and starve? Better to break the deprivation cycle with a few pence for breakfast. Plus.. lots use breakfast club to get to work on time and contribute to the economy.

@chrs1927 @crimlawuk How? How will they fix it? What is the definition of the ‘right’ Brexit?

@crimlawuk Reform are the third of the UK that argue Brexit was the right idea but was implemented badly by incompetent politicians. It was the wrong Brexit and NF will fix it. Add in nasty foreigners. A similar argument Marxists make about communist states failing. Ignore them.

Streeting must be really out of touch if he think the rise of Reform is because people want to rejoin the EU. Much as I would love it to be different, that ship has sailed. We need to focus on making this country safe and prosperous and a great place to live as a vibrant independent country. Not fighting old battles that have been lost.

They think they can do what they like without a mandate. The problem isn't Starmer. It's Labour.

@KitPeacock That may well be and it should be investigated. That said, great that these kids have food in their bellies. Fuel to learn so they can break the cycle of deprivation.

I cannot stress this enough. If a child's outcome is changing this much with school breakfast, there is something seriously wrong at home. Masking that problem is not a victory.
Bridget Phillipson@bphillipsonMP

At Gillas Lane Primary, the new free breakfast club is delivering calmer classrooms, higher standards and happier children. Labour is rolling out breakfast clubs across England to give every child the best possible start to the school day.

All the people screeching "SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!!!" You do know you can...take your kids out of school for a few days, right? It's not like they learn anything useful. If your kid isn't dumb they'll catch back up just fine. Goodness the mental gymnastics on some of you.

I have never understood the Eastern and Northern European mindset of going on vacation during summer. When your city is 75 degrees and beautiful and everything is available, you go to Greece and pay $300 a day to turn yourself into a lobster. Instead of just... going in November. You know, when your city is 40 and dreary and grey with 4 hours of "sun "a day. And Greece is 75 and you get a private beach. Make it make sense.

@brianeskow If it is not meal service and an overnight flight. Recline is 100% allowed. If you don’t like it, pay for a better seat.

Since Brexit we’ve been unable to sustain a PM for more than a couple of years. The circus is ungovernable. Not helped by a political media clique that, emboldened by social media, thinks its job is to start a ticking clock on a PM’s downfall the second they start. Grim.
