@moinsd @akafaceUS thats completely incorrect, its pronounced wooster, like rooster
English

@akafaceUS Worcestershire is much easier than it looks. “Wershter”. Don’t ask why, it’s stupid.

🚨🇬🇧 BREAKING: UK’s Vertical Aerospace has achieved a historic aviation milestone, completing a piloted thrustborne transition under the supervision of the UK Civil Aviation Authority in collaboration with EASA, allowing its aircraft to take off vertically and seamlessly transition into wingborne flight, marking a key step toward certified electric aviation and the future of eVTOL air taxis.
English

@libtard90 @Defence_Index who tf do you think invented this sort of vtol for the americans to use
there would be no F35 without the harrier

@HappyTime1066 @Defence_Index Aint no way you tried to flex British airforce to America airforce ☠️☠️☠️☠️

@calumthomson3_ @ScotRail dont know what can be looked at tbh, there physically arent any more carriages, they dont exist. Rolling stock shortage is one of the biggest problems on the railways
English

@ScotRail The 11:35 Ayr - Glasgow service has been 3 or 4 carriages every week for years and every week it’s standing room only by Irvine at best. I’ve seen it get to the point the driver is telling folk to get off at Johnstone and wait for the next train. Needs to be looked at.

While I make fun of British food as much as I can I have to admit that the Full English is a wondrous creation. Some Americans will complain about the black pudding but not me. It's just blood sausage, and every single nation in Europe has some version of it. Heck even Mexico has moronga. I do think that Britain's blood sausage version is only middling compared to the rest of Europe but whatever.
The thing that bugs me is the baked beans. Seriously? I will happily trade you the baked beans for more mushrooms or perhaps a little tub of English marmalade (which is A+ another thing Britain rules at).

British cuisine. Best in the world.

Let me translate this. When he says Westminster, where fewer people live than Scotland, he really means England. There. Sorted it for him.
John Swinney@JohnSwinney
Scotland is blessed with vast energy resources and I want to make sure they benefit the people who live in Scotland, not Westminster. Great to be in Leith with @BenMacpherson today, and visit Forth Ports which are vital for our offshore wind industry.
English

@hlarryious @real_faox @IrisDuane the wait time was six years, six years ago, its 236 years wait time from now
English

@real_faox @IrisDuane It’s designed on purpose
“It exists!” - wait time is six years
Disability programs in the US are run this way (seven year wait times, for something done in a month elsewhere)
ADHD evaluations for NHS are run this way (ten year wait times, for something done in a month in the US)
English

In Glasgow the wait time to tell a doctor that you think you *might* be transgender is 236 years.

@vivian39_ oh god i showed up exactly ten minutes into the dc streetcar video is this about me
English

@spiderstapes you don't get to decide whether you are transphobic or not, your behaviour shows that, and its very clear you are transphobic
English

@NEPO_BARBIE @HulstNov can we please not be doing fear mongering over srs
English

@HulstNov Majority of trans women not having bottom surgery should let you know how much can go wrong from having it. Most of the dolls stick to mones, implants, FFS and BBLS for a reason
English

I'm confused, didn't she get bottom surgery?
Pop Base@PopBase
Ethel Cain looks radiant in newly shared photo.
English

@HappyTime1066 yeah
no arguing there
they're still valid reasons to not get GRS though
English

@replymoder @serketmaxxing honestly most of those points are issues in any major surgery
English

@serketmaxxing some do
most don't
i think more of us would if:
it didn't leave people disabled for a few months
have complications
cost a tonne depending
was more accessible
had consistently good results
was reproductively functional
all criteria need not apply nor is it exhaustive
English

@BetterDrivingUS i just dont see personalized AV's as fully able to deal with the sheer amount of people that need to travel and as cheaply as trains do.
but in any case, as you say what you propose a long while off, so trains are the best mass transit option currently
English

@HappyTime1066 But this is the core of what I'm. This flaw is why trains will be relegated to the past, and personalized AVs will replace them. I will grant you that this future is probably a relatively long while off, but some version of it is coming.
English

@GlobeFarrah @IzouR0 idk, you want to hire a specialist with expensive equipment for multiple days of work. it makes sense that won't be cheap

I paid my guy like $500 and food
English

@BetterDrivingUS my local line comes every 15 mins and is very punctual. that's convenient enough. obviously bad trains will be bad, but that doesn't mean the concept is bad.
like i said before, trains are part of a system thats gets you point to point, other modes make the final mile
English

@HappyTime1066 A networks that's allows people go from where they are to where they're going, any time they want. Trains do not excel at flexibility, convenience, nor, usually, time.
English

@BetterDrivingUS what do you mean by distributed transportation network?
and efficient in what sense? cause trains excel at efficiency in throughput, power/fuel use per-person, and use of space for sure
English

@HappyTime1066 A distributed transportation network is far more efficient at moving people than something more point to point. The technology isn't there yet, but when it is, cramming people onto train cars will only{mger make sense.
English
