Spoke with my brother President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to convey warm Eid-ul-Fitr and Nowruz greetings to him and the brotherly people of Iran. As a neighbouring brotherly country, I expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the brave Iranian people, conveyed deep condolences on the loss of precious lives, and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured and displaced. We discussed the grave situation in the Gulf region and agreed on the urgent need for de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy. I also underscored the importance of unity in the ranks of the Ummah and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in advancing peace in the region.

Pakistan played a pivotal role in the last few days to deescalate tensions between US & Iran. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif (Wonderful Boy) and the very favorite Field Marshal, Syed Asim Munir, exhibited Pakistan’s masterclass diplomacy. The timing of the call between PM Shehbaz Sharif and the Iranian President was quite meaningful. Pakistan showed balanced and effective diplomacy. Now let’s hope and pray that all this effort pays off. 🤞 🇵🇰 🇮🇷 🇹🇷 🇺🇸
