A real aid convoy would use cargo trucks, not fleets of pickup vehicles.
Why pickup trucks? These pickups can be rapidly converted into combat vehicles by mounting heavy weapons like PKC or DShK machine guns or even anti-armor systems.
This is not about aid for Iranians, it is about bringing in terror tools to support the regime to extend its longevity,

@chasflemming He seems to be playing it safe on a number of fronts, which I’m not sure helps him. It seems the MAGA lane is crowded, and the anti-MAGA lane looks like it will have a candidate or two. Perhaps he’ll try to thread the needle, but playing it safe wasn’t his brand.

No…America is a republic, and liberals and progressive populists would rather see it become a pure democracy.
A republic protects individual rights, while a democracy devolves into majority rule—where 51% of the people can dictate terms to the other 49%.
Terminology matters because we’re losing our individual rights, as intended by the progressives.

Well, it’s all in on their side (hezbolla, houthis). This would be a logical front for SA and UAE to join in. If U.S. stays in (or even ups the ante), it looks like an all or nothing scenario . Since the Gulf states can’t tolerate the regime and tentacles surviving, I assume they’ll push for the “all” scenario .
By no means a given , but the first opportunity in several decades for a dramatically better ME in the long run.

Sorry, but I don't know why @SecRubio is saying this. He knows better. All the peace proposals included giving up Donbas, so Zelensky is correct that security guarantees (totally worthless after our dishonorable failure to meet earlier security guarantees) are conditioned on accepting peace proposals which include Ukraine surrendering Donbas.
