He has also met with multiple previous Mayors of NYC and I don’t remember hearing demands for them to be banned.

Was booking tickets for Edinburgh Zoo this weekend. Noticed people on Universal Credit get a discounted rate. Adult ticket: £30. Adult ticket (UC): £8. A 73% difference. No shade to people on UC. But why are we being punished for having a job?

@WhitbyHarvey @67__Harry Probably because they didn’t need it. If things like Twitter, TikTok and 24/7 news existed in the 1940s or 1980s they definitely would’ve had comms teams and a social media presence.

I most recently suggested building those recycling centres that are capable of turning plastic waste into clothes and stuff and he said “it’s a load of bollocks.”

@JackWDart I’m old enough to remember when Starmer was criticised for focusing on “critical geopolitical tensions and huge security threats” and spending too much time abroad. Now Andy Burnham apparently isn’t allowed to do anything domestic. I can’t wait to see what rule changes next.

Some may say “what’s wrong with a bit of fun?”. But I don’t think some of the stuff I’ve seen from civil servants embracing returning SoS has been appropriate & certainly not for camera or social media. I think the permanent impartial CS should appear reserved and dispassionate.
