Architecture as Empowerment- Why Bihar Needs a School of Architecture! This project from rural China shows what happens when architectural education meets real community needs. Students didn’t just design a building, they solved water scarcity, improved hygiene, preserved cultural identity, and transformed everyday life through thoughtful, sustainable design. Bihar faces strikingly similar challenges: water mismanagement, sanitation gaps in rural schools, climate vulnerability, heritage neglect, and unplanned urban growth. Yet it still lacks a dedicated, world-class School of Architecture to develop professionals who design solutions rooted in our local realities. If architecture students in Guangxi can empower a village of just 3,000 people, imagine what Bihar’s own students could achieve for its 100+ million population if given the right institutional platform. Architecture is not merely about structures; it is about dignity, resilience, health, identity, and future-ready communities. Development without design is not progress,it is compromise. It is time Bihar invests in architectural education that builds solutions, not just buildings. I demand the Bihar Government to establish a state of the art School of Architecture in Sasaram. Bihar needs it more than ever! Video Courtesy: All Architecture (YT) @allarchitecturein" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@allarchitectu…
