Wouldn't be surprised to see a quick PC release for GTA6 compared to previous games, considering the acquisiton of FiveM and apparent push for paid UGC.

Hey all. Bit of a sad post but this is the reality of life sometimes.
My old boss who gave me my first job in the games industry working in physical retail at GAME has Leukaemia. He fought it off last year but recently found out it's back in his central nervous system and has spread to his brain.
He has a wife and kid and financially it's a struggle despite NHS. Any support at all would be incredible as he is a genuinely nice bloke & gamer whos just been hit with bad rng.

Thanks

@BattleNonSense @KatDoes3D Not necessarily, BF5 does it one way and PUBG another (though they've got a major difference in sequential recoil works)
English

@KatDoes3D This would make every gun a lazer, which is bad.
How had this is can be seen in BF6 where DICE toned down bulletphysics so much to cater to CoD players that they are almost non existant and now we have boring lazer like gunplay where players easily score multiple hits fullauto.

15 years ago, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games overcame near-insurmountable odds to deliver Modern Warfare 3.
@MichaelCondrey, Glen Schofield, Robert Bowling, and other devs told me the dramatic story of how MW3 came to be.

Cycle 5 Chemotherapy vs. Today.
The photo on the right was taken in my car, immediately after finishing my 5th round of chemo at Mayo. My face was beat up by the poison, my wrist was bandaged post hours of infusion, but that smile and that fist were non-negotiable.
It was my ritual: a defiance picture after every single cycle to show this disease it couldn’t break my spirit.
The video on the right is me today. Not cured, but Restored.
This battle taught me a crucial truth: Our bodies are capable of enduring an absolute beating, far more than we imagine. The physical fight is brutal, but it’s temporary.
The real war is won in the mind.
If you are facing adversity today—physical or mental—know this: Do not let the struggle steal your smile. Conquer your mind first, and your body will follow.

@BackersGamesF Epic is in contact with the family and will solve the insurance for them. There is high confidentiality around medical information and it was not a factor in this layoff decision. Sorry to everyone for not recognizing this terribly painful situation and handling it in advance.

started working on a loadout/attachment system for the game, but it's not ready to be shown yet so here's some more gameplay instead

🤣 pretty accurate
Getting into a BO6 game generally requires 2-3 restarts prompted by the game after initial launch for me

People already starting to say “get back to your roots”
Like they all didn’t say the same thing the last 3 Battlefields. The cycle is this:
> Influencers Roast Battlefield
> Players Complain “isn’t like subjective old days”
> DICE marketing parrots “best Battlefield ever” and “back to roots”
> Players glaze marketing material
> Influencers dick ride every comment by devs
> Game releases
> Influencers claim minute design decisions are reason for diminishing player base
> Players remember Battlefield has little to no replayability and is a 10-50 hour game
> Influencers claim lack of content is reason why game is losing players
> Players say next time will be better
> Influencers roast Battlefield
This is a half joke half serious.. it is laughable how predictable the loop is. The core problem for Battlefield’s marketing is nostalgia, everyone likes ice cream but everyone has a favourite flavour… that’s Battlefield’s marketing problem… can’t design their way out of it.
But with Battlefield’s design- there’s just no reason to keep coming back.. give the IP a break and let the talented team at DICE make something interesting and fresh.
Or, accept that Battlefield is not an evergreen live support game.. it’s a 3 month bash and dump.
From a long time Battlefield fan.

@BattlefieldInte Conquest, it’s too late. I’d start working on BF7 or maybe just call it Battlefield. Get back to your roots, Russia vs the US, traditional vehicles, big maps. Have a secondary title for Battle Royal that is separate.

@megigogi Because just like the rest of the game it had its skillfloor and skillceiling dropped below sealevel in order to make it appeal to CoD players.
