A casi la mitad de los británicos (46% según YouGov) no le molestaría que las Malvinas fueran argentinas. El inglés informado está más preocupado por su economía y califica el mantenimiento del archipiélago como "injustificable" y un "delirio de imperio" costoso.

It's easy to be pro palestine, pro gay and trans rights as long as it either impacts you directly or it's far away from you, right, Jack? If you keep using debunked talking points by Thatcherites by what metric do you believe you can accuse argentinians of being brainwashed?

There’s a common misconception that the UK would be unable to defend the Falklands against an Argentinian invasion. Bollocks! The argument I'm seeing is that the Royal Navy is not, shall we say, in ideal shape, and therefore Britain couldn’t mount a successful defence. However, unlike 1982, it’s highly unlikely that the situation would even escalate to the point of needing a full naval task force. Argentina’s current military capabilities are extremely limited. Their Air Force has just 40 combat aircraft — including 23 ageing A-4 Skyhawks and only 6 F-16s — supported by a mere two KC-130 tankers. Their Navy consists of three small destroyers (around 3,600 tonnes each), two reportedly inactive submarines, and a handful of patrol vessels. These numbers alone make a successful invasion highly unlikely. The Falklands lie roughly 340 miles from the Argentine mainland, and any attempt at a surprise attack would be almost impossible to achieve or conceal. The existing Typhoon detachment on the islands would be reinforced by additional Typhoons, F-35s, and tankers before they'd even left the ground. In short, the idea that Britain could not defend the Falklands is nonsense — because Argentina lacks anything close to the capability needed to invade them in the first place.

Estarias dispuesto a una base de EEUU en las Islas Malvinas a cambio de que sean Argentinas??

The last time we sided with the British and we gave tons of support to them. They don't really seem grateful for that past support so perhaps we should side with Argentina this time. United Kingdom has a illegal colonial possession in the Western hemisphere in violation of the Monroe doctrine. Perhaps the United States didn't go far enough with decolonizing the Europeans.

@Schizointel No need to take sides. We just to change our maps to show them as the Malvinas and sit back and let everyone else work it out.

🚨 CHILE SIDES WITH ARGENTINA ON THE FALKLANDS Chile has officially declared its support for Argentina’s claim over the Falkland Islands. This came in a joint statement after a meeting between the two countries’ leaders. The Falklands are British territory - defended with British blood in 1982. Now more countries are openly testing us because they sense weakness in London. Britain must make it crystal clear: The Falklands are ours and will remain ours forever.
