@PatrickVogelius @stupidtechtakes I found that doesn’t quite get me through the day so I have an automation to remove the 80% limit about an hour before my alarm, so I’m close to 100% when I wake up but it hasn’t been sitting there for hours like it did when I relied on optimised battery charging.

@stupidtechtakes Charging to 100%, only to immediately start discharging the battery, is the surest way to kill your battery 😵 You're just maximizing cycles *and* high-state-of-charge stress. Just set the charging limit to 80% and stay plugged in as much as possible 🤷‍♂️ Reduces cycling.

@erix004 @IvankovicBoris @meiringen12 Oh I know, I was just pointing out that on HW4 the Ryzen chip is integrated onto the same main unit/board as the FSD computer and on HW3 it’s a seperate board. Although they’re both “MCU3” everyone always assumed the chip was the same but it seems on HW4 vehicles it’s revised.

@IvankovicBoris @erix004 @meiringen12 I believe HW4 has an integrated Ryzen chip instead of a separate one like in legacy vehicles. I guess this proves it’s a revised version with slightly more power. Unreal is super scalable though so I imagine it’ll come to legacy vehicles eventually once it’s been optimised.

A few weeks back they actually had a page for booking one, although it was unpopulated. Now the page gives a 404 error. I still refresh it every day just incase! tesla.com/en_gb/events/t…

@Hazza52 @WarrenWhyteUK @Keir_Starmer @Tesla From some source code surfing on the Tesla website, there is a suggestion that UK drives are all set up and ready to go. Tesla just needs to turn it on. The difficult bit is what is the trigger that allows that to happen as it is not clear.

Come on @Keir_Starmer - grasp the opportunity now with @Tesla. The law has been in place for 2 yers...

@DriveTeslaca @RealDanODowd I imagine the EU version of FSD is already far safer than the US version. Right off the bat EU roads are already more than twice as safe vs US roads, and with the mandatory introductory quiz and the ability to set a max speed I imagine accidents will be even less frequent here.

@jstern111 @WarrenWhyteUK @Keir_Starmer @Tesla I was wondering whether they’d do this, but wouldn’t they have to remove all ‘self-driving’ branding as using those terms are now prohibited in the UK for anything lower than L3? I doubt Tesla would go for that as they couldn’t market it as FSD.

@WarrenWhyteUK @Keir_Starmer @Tesla We don't need to wait for the secondary AVA legislation. It could be reclassified as ADAS L2 or a small series type approval issued or the code of practice for automated vehicle trialling be used to get things moving. We need to lead not follow in the UK!

@GernaderJake I believe they’ve talked about this before that they ban cheaters in waves, instead of immediately as they’re caught, so that the people making the hacks aren’t tipped off that their software has been identified and modify it to be undetectable again. Constant cat and mouse game

I’m a bit confused by this whole cheater situation in Marathon. Apparently, high ranked lobbies are just filled with blatant cheaters. It’s almost a guarantee you’ll match them. How is Bungie so quick with all the nerfs and changes, but they are just silently allowing these cheaters to go crazy week after week? They unfortunately did the same thing with cheaters in Trials, but I thought they would have learned their lesson and been ON IT for Marathon. How hard is it to have one person manually review the accounts in the high ranked lobbies? Why are they silent and why are the cheaters going unpunished? It just feels like such a huge L, and it really should be such an easy W for them

@AIDRIVR IMO the real lesson here is that Tesla need to bring back the max speed slider like they have in Europe. If she had the option to pick a more comfortable speed she wouldn’t have needed to turn it off.

@OIIIEGA @moocat999 @unlimited_ls You’d be surprised how many modern cars have cameras but no dashcam feature. More often than not they’re only used for ADAS and can’t actually record.

MagSafe on iPhone should be renamed as MagDanger, as much as I love it. The original MagSafe on the Mac was designed to prevent your laptop from being pulled off the table when someone tripped over the cable, per Apple. Instead, an iPhone would definitely fly with the cable.

@TailosiveEV It would be sort of a grey area since you’d still be able to sleep at the wheel, but practically speaking you’d have to be present if the car needed the cameras cleaned. This solution would at least allow UFSD on HW4 and if you did clean the cameras regularly, essentially L4 too.

It’s feeling very likely to me no one’s HW4 vehicle will get unsupervised FSD. You’ll need sprayers for cameras and I highly doubt retrofits will be offered.
