In Auschwitz, my mother taught me three rules. Not stories. Not prayers. Rules. The kind that kept you alive. Rule one: Never make eye contact with a guard. Rule two: Never show that you are sick. Rule three: Never, ever, lose your bowl. I was five years old. I memorized them the way other children memorize nursery rhymes. The bowl was a small tin thing. Dented. Scratched. It held whatever thin soup they gave us once a day. If you lost your bowl, you had no bowl. If you had no bowl, you had no ration. If you had no ration, you understand. I guarded that bowl with everything I had. I slept with it. I held it against my chest during roll call. I knew where it was every second of every day. Then one morning, I fell into the latrine. There is no delicate way to say this. The latrines in Auschwitz were wooden boards with holes cut into them over a pit. The holes were large. I was very small. I was in a hurry. I slipped. I went in up to my neck. The smell. The cold. The rats. I do not need to describe it. Your mind already knows. My mother tried to pull me out. She could not. I was slippery and she had no strength. None of us had strength. We had not eaten properly in months. She called out. Other women came. Together they pulled me free. Someone found a hose. They sprayed me down in the cold air while I stood there shaking. I did not cry. Rule number one in Auschwitz was the same rule everywhere, do not attract attention. But I got sick. Very sick. The kind of sick that comes from rats and filth and cold water and a body that has nothing left to fight with. And I remembered Rule Two, never show that you are sick. I hid it from everyone. From the guards. From the other children. Even from my mother, because I knew if she knew, she would do something. And doing something in Auschwitz got you killed. But someone saw. I do not know who. I do not know why they helped me instead of reporting me. I never knew. They took me to a room, a makeshift hospital. I lay in a bed, a real bed, not a wooden bunk, for the first time since we had arrived. I do not remember much of what happened next. The fever blurred everything. Days passed like smoke. When I came out, I still had my bowl. I had held it even in the latrine. Even in the fever. Even in the dark when I did not know where I was or what day it was. My mother looked at me when I came back. She looked at the bowl. She did not say anything. She just nodded, the way she nodded when something had gone the way it needed to go. People ask me what survival looks like. I tell them, sometimes it looks like a five year old girl climbing out of a latrine in a death camp, covered in filth, shaking with cold, still holding her tin bowl. Because she knew that the bowl was the difference between eating and not eating. Between living and not. Because her mother had told her. And she had listened. I am Tova Friedman. I fell into a latrine in Auschwitz at five years old. I came out still holding my bowl. Tova. #NeverForget #Survival #DaughterOfAuschwitz #ShesStillHere #TheirNamesLiveOn

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in Asheville NC after a man who tried to DRAG A WOMAN INTO THE WOODS, KIDNAP, AND BEAT HER on a hiking trail... ...has just been ALLOWED TO LEAVE JAIL ON A $5,000 BOND!!! Dillon Curtis has been arrested 15 TIMES before... INCLUDING a 2ND DEGREE KIDNAPPING charge from last July ...for which a judge ALSO let him walk on $4,500 bond. According to the police report, Dillon followed Emily to her car, where he shoved her and tried to hit her. She began calling 911 and he tried ripping her PHONE out of her hand while she was calling 911. He threatened, in his own words, to "KNOCK HER OUT AND DRAG HER INTO THE WOODS." Then two mountain bikers, Harvest and Trevor, drove up and the guy ran off. Emily is alive because of those two strangers. Please understand...a man already on bond for FELONY KIDNAPPING tried to kidnap a woman off an Asheville trail... ...and was charged with only FOUR MISDEMEANORS. Bond: $5,000. He will be out and terrorizing more women soon. WE CANNOT CONTINUE LIVING LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s why we need Voter ID laws. It doesn’t even matter who got those 10,000 ballots. I can’t stand Massie. Glad he lost. But it doesn’t change the fact that we should have ONE day to vote and you bring ID. Let pay for transportation for those who are not able to get to polls. But the show up with ID. If you are out of state or country for work or school, mail in ballots are fine WITH proof as to why you can’t show up to vote.

@OzSherree777 @GuntherEagleman As a leftist, these acts of targeted violence of citizen-on-citizen, by another leftist, cause cognitive dissonance for you, making you try to justify them by categorizing them as acceptable responses to real or alleged violence by or against government entities. It won't work.

To remind everyone what really happened that night: • They cut off testicles and shoved them into the victims's mouths. • They stabbed pregnant women in the womb and raped them. • They beheaded people. • They gouged people's eyes out. French authorities worked overtime to keep these details away from the public. And apparently, the mastermind behind this atrocity will soon walk, because European leaders are cowards and traitors who will never do the right thing.

@geraldwayne Oh, and it sure seems to me that if you're going to go to all the trouble to somehow rig the vote, you make the margin a little smaller so people don't start asking for audits.

THE NUMBERS DON’T WHISPER. THEY SCREAM. Massie gained votes. Turnout doubled. His opponent vote didn’t grow. It exploded. 2024 opponent vote: 12,664 2026 opponent vote: 57,822 That’s a 356.6% surge. Total turnout jumped from 52,593 to 105,361. Maybe it’s real. Maybe it’s clean. Maybe every ballot checks out. Then prove it. An audit is not fear. An audit is verification. If voters are expected to accept the result then officials should welcome the review. Call the Kentucky Secretary of State. Call county election boards in KY-04. Demand a full audit of the Republican primary vote. Ballot count. Chain of custody. Machine logs. Absentee totals. Precinct-level turnout. Trust is earned in daylight. Open the books. #ElectionAudit #KentuckyPolitics

@aj_inapi I always voted Massie even though I've always been strongly pro-Israel. This time, with the war I support, and the increasing worldwide equating of anti-Zionism with violent anti-Semitism, the issue became impossible to ignore. I refuse to contribute to even a hint of that hate.

So are we just going to ignore the political reality of Kentucky’s 4th District? Thomas Massie represented one of the most reliably conservative, Christian voting blocs in America. KY-04 is roughly 86% White, deeply Republican, and heavily influenced by Evangelical and Protestant Christian voters who consistently dominate GOP primaries. While they may not be a literal 50%+ majority of the total population, they are absolutely the dominant and most reliable Republican voting force in that district. And here’s the part many online commentators conveniently skip: White Evangelical Christians are also the MOST pro-Israel religious voting bloc in America. Poll after poll shows overwhelming support for Israel among Evangelicals: • Strong majorities support military aid to Israel • 70%+ believe the land was given to the Jewish people by God • Evangelicals consistently show the warmest views toward Israel of any major religious demographic Now combine that with Massie: • Opposing Israel aid packages • Attacking AIPAC publicly • Framing the race as a “referendum on foreign policy” and Israel influence • Making Israel-related opposition a CENTRAL campaign theme Then he loses by almost 10 points. And suddenly people act shocked? You cannot run directly against the worldview of your district’s most reliable voting bloc and then twist the narrative that Israeli influence had “everything” to do with the outcome. That doesn’t mean Israel was the ONLY factor. Trump’s endorsement of Ed Gallrein, PAC money, and attack/information ads all mattered too. But politics is about coalition math and understanding your electorate. Massie’s supporters keep trying to rewrite the story into: “HE ONLY LOST BECAUSE OF EPSTEIN!” NO. The timeline shows years of friction with President Trump AND a district where Evangelical Republican voters are overwhelmingly pro-Israel. Ignoring that reality is political malpractice.

Horrible Congressman Thomas Massie put out an old Endorsement, from many years ago, of him by me long before I found out that he was the Worst Congressman in the History of our Country. I endorsed Ed Gallrein, a true American Patriot, which Massie knows full well, so the statement that he put out is fraudulent, just like HE is fraudulent. WITHDRAW YOUR FAKE STATEMENT, MASSIE, RIGHT NOW! President DONALD J. TRUMP

@libertylighthse @bonchieredstate I think I got a couple Massie flyers. There were a few big Massie signs around; I don't remember any Gallrein signs -there must've been some. I don't watch much TV, so never saw a single ad. I did my research close to election day. I've been a Massie voter. I wasn't bought.

@bonchieredstate You make 2 good points, but to say the rest is cope is incorrect. Ed Gallrein was a warm body with no positions backed by $35M of out-of-state funds. Even if Massie made mistakes that helped his opposition, don't act like his seat wasn't bought.

Massie made two strategic mistakes. 1) He alienated a lot of Trump fans by going all-in over unevidenced Epstein conspiracies that he ultimately couldn't back up, apparently blinded by the seal-clapping from social media. The perception became that he was doubling down for clout and helping Democrats rather than sticking to what was actually true or not. 2) He alienated a lot of *non* Trump fans who liked his principled stands but simply couldn't swallow Massie's more recent alliance with anti-Semitic lunatics. It was a double-whammy of too-online idiocy, and it cost him his seat. The rest is cope.

Our national sovereignty isn’t being decided by a small district in Kentucky today and you know it. Thats a ridiculous emotional statement. I hope Massie wins, not because I think he’s going to get anything accomplished (he won’t) but I don’t like the gotcha stuff they have pulled on him and I literally know nothing about his opponent. Even after trying to research. Sometimes you have to go with the devil you know.

@SteveGuest @ScottJenningsKY That was so gross. Support for Israel does not mean bought and paid for by Israel. And to say that, in a concession speech, in today's climate of sometimes violent anti-Semitism, was irresponsible at best. I guess he felt safe doing it in a district that has about 3 Jews in it.

.@ScottJenningsKY doesn’t hold back on Thomas Massie’s way out the door: “Despicable, anti-Semitic, nasty, gutter politics… it needs to be condemned.” President Trump didn’t just beat Thomas Massie. He made an example out of him. Then Massie ends his career with this line about Ed Gallrein: “I had to find him in Tel Aviv.”
