This sounds to me like a rate hike next week. If we inflation is already too high (which it is) and we’re eventually going to need higher rates even if we wait (which I believe we will) why not just lift rates now instead of waiting any longer? afr.com/policy/economy…

@bowtiedstocks Wow, I remember when it was avoid from 2pm onwards on Fridays and Sunday afternoon!

You can drive the M1 Gold Coast to Brisbane anytime of day now between 8am and 6pm and it is always heavily congested
3 lanes each way minimum
Worst congestion in the country
What are all these people doing?
I’m not really sure, but it isn’t adding to productivity
Many I’m guessing are still happy to have ‘escaped’ to Sth East Qld from the southern states

@BowTied_Golfer I once passed a guy who was working on the phone while playing . I couldn't think of a worse way to ruin a round.
English

If you're walking and playing quickly you shouldn't have time to look at your phone.
Carts are a different story.
In my view, golf is about disconnecting from the internet for a few hours and talking to your playing partners. The new generation clearly doesn't see it this way.
Christopher Powers@CPowers14
Question for the group… How do you feel about somebody being on their phone the entire round ? Could be constant work-related calls or could be a guy or gal who is just staring down at it at all times/between every shot

@Top100Rick what did you find more effective, the speed sticks or stack?
English

Guys, I need some honesty. Some real straight talk.
Am I the dumbest golfer on the planet?
I moved so I found a bunch of golf training aids I have accumulated over the years.
My god. I am an actual psychopath.
Other than the speed training tools and the weighted clubs, I would guess I used most of these for less than 5 minutes.
The worst is that somehow I bought duplicates of a couple because I forgot I already had them. 😂😢
I’m so dumb.

@craigkellyAFEE You know it's bad when they are resorting to these tactics!

This is embarrassing.
Claire O’Neil, Labor’s failed Housing Minister demonstrates she is both economically and mathematically illiterate - an incomponent dope, hopelessly out of her depth.
Let’s go through it.
🏠You are not "saving money" by only having a 5% deposit, this simply means you have to borrow more, and have higher monthly mortgage repayments.
🏠And while you might "save" on rent, you instead pay interest on the money you’ve had to borrow to buy a property, and most likely the interest costs will be more than rent.
🏠And while you might save $32,000 in lenders mortgage insurance (buy only having a 5% deposit) the increased demand that results from Labor‘s policy (bringing more buyers into the market sooner) will push up the purchase price of that home by more than $32,000 (Something we are already seeing)
🏠So under Labor‘s policy - EVERYONE with or without a 20% deposit will pay more.
🏠And the economically illiterate Claire who puts out this embarrassing video, displaying for the world her ignorance, incompetence & stupidity is one of Labor’s "best and brightest".
Never in our nation’s history have we had a greater pack of clueless clowns in our Federal Parliament.

Melbourne is boring. This is soooooo true.
It is amazing with all the so-called benefits of 'multiculturalism' that the city is so fucking boring.
Pre mass immigration, Melbourne had an interesting, quirky and creative culture.
Now it is bland, boring, and safe.
Apparently having 'bubble tea' and watching Taylor Swift at a big stadium is the high point of culture.
It is so culturally boring. The people are boring. The immigrants suck. They are part of a boring global corporate culture - nothing intellectual, creative, or interesting.
Melboring. So fucking Melboring.

Opinion: The decline of Victoria, once Australia’s richest, most stylish and most cultured state, has been stunning. In fact, even its people now look drab. > bit.ly/4hu4PxN

@practicalgolf focus on rotating the body. took ages until another pro told me to focus on the opposite, straighter ball flight with a baby draw now.
English

@ClassicSwingX Probably had a lot to do with the high volume of training and repetitive movements he did in his prime. Load management should be looked at as well, just can't blame the swing.

With the announcement of Tiger Woods’ 7th back operation, I have to ask — is the modern golf swing setting up an entire generation of golfers for injury?
That style with the feet planted, the vertical jump, and steep shoulders puts tremendous strain on the lower back. I know, because years ago I tried to “drop it under” like the modern pros — and it nearly ended my game.
That injury led me back to the Classic Golf Swing — the one I was taught as a kid, the one that’s stood the test of time. It’s easier on my back, more natural on the body, and I can still hit the ball long and straight.
If you’re struggling with back pain or feel like your swing is fighting your body, it might be time to look into the Classic Swing. It changed everything for me.
I’ll be teaching it in person at my upcoming schools:
📍 November 8th – One-Day Masterclass in Dallas
📍 December 6th & 7th – Classic Swing Weekend Golf School in Dallas
Enrollment is limited, and the weather will be perfect.

@stats_feed Why is golf so low? Maybe not the most physically demanding but needs to be in top 3.

THE LONGEST BALLS IN GOLF 🚀
80 hours of testing the industry's best and these are your Top 10.
We'll be the first to tell you, distance isn't everything.
But for those of you solely focused on gaining a few extra yards - these are the ones we'd put our $$$ on.
While 5.9 yards from 10 to 1 may not seem like a lot - I'll be the FIRST to tell you...
There was a 17.6 YARD difference from Longest to Shortest.
Still think all golf balls are the same?
Let's double-check what's in your bag.

@AvidCommentator Would be interesting to see a city by city analysis. Vancouver would be well above that.
