Roy Estes died while having dental implant surgery in Ponte Vedra. His family learned after his death the dentist was not using his real name and Roy wasn't the first patient to die after going to this dentist. Here's the second part of our investigation.

SJSO Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) detectives have arrested Edward Betancur-Zabala (36) in violation of Florida Statute 800.101 which prohibits school district employees from soliciting romantic relationships with students. The defendant, who is a bus driver, asked the victim to fill out a form that asked for her phone number and other information. A few days later she received concerning text messages from an unknown number advising they were an “admirer” and stating she was beautiful. The victim notified her school resource deputy of the form she was requested to fill out and the strange text messages. ICAC detectives assumed the victim’s identity and began texting with the suspect. During the chat conversations, the suspect said he wanted to “get to know” the victim better and said he sees the victim “notice his looks.” The suspect said he wanted to meet the victim and said they “won’t talk much,” asked if there were cameras in her neighborhood, said “it’s very dangerous…someone from school can see us” and added “I’ll greet you with a kiss.” The suspect traveled to the victim’s neighborhood and sent a picture of where he was parked. He was immediately taken into custody by law enforcement. The victim in this case is to be commended for immediately notifying her school resource deputy and not engaging in conversations with the suspect.
